MASSEY PASSES AWAY IN SAN FRANCISCO Mrs. Annie Sheehan Massey, widow of the late Senator W. A. Massey of Nevada, died in San Francisco recently, following an illness that had kept her in a hospital there for a year and a half. For several months Mrs. Massey's condition had been such that her death was not unexpected by members of the family. She had been a sufferer from pernicious anemia for several years. Mrs. Massey was born in Geneva, N. Y., in 1868, but had lived nearly her entire life in Nevada, being brought to this state when a child, first settling in Elko. She was married to Senator Massey, then a justice of the State Supreme Court in Elko in 1896, removing to Reno shortly thereafter, and making this city her home continuously until she left for San Francisco for medical treatment. Four sisters, Mrs. C. G. Smith, of Winnemucca; Mrs. Abbie Morrow, of Reno; Mrs. Dora Thompson of San Francisco, and Miss Neil Sheehan, of Elko, and one brother, Jerry Sheehan, vice president of the Reno National Bank, survive. All with the exception of Mrs. Morrow and Mr. Sheehan were at the bedside when the end came. Mrs. Morrow reaching San Francisco a few hours later and Mr. Sheehan arriving the next morning. Interment was made in Cypress Lawn cemetery in San Mateo county, just south of San Francisco. - Reno Gazette
