Reno Evening Gazette January 2, 1886
Left Alone

The young widow of the late John McAskill, the man who was killed by the V. & T.
express train a short time ago, died about 5 o’clock last evening of heart
disease which was greatly aggravated by the shock received at the sight of her
mutilated husband.  Deceased was a native of Michigan and leaves two children, a
boy and a girl, aged five and seven years respectively.  The funeral will take
place to-morrow at 1 o’clock, from the Methodist church

McAskill-In Reno, Nevada, January 1, 1886, Mrs. Linda McAskill, widow of the
late John McAskill, aged 25 years.
