Weekly Reno Gazette July 9, 1885
Death at Work

Mrs. Belle Merritt, daughter of Mr. Hash who lives a few miles south of Reno,
arrived in Reno July 2d from Arkansas, accompanied by her husband and two
children.  She was very low with consumption, and next day she died.  The
funeral will take place to-morrow at 2 o’clock from the Baptist Church.
