Funeral Services of Mrs. Morton Are Held

Funeral services for Mrs. Elsie E. Morton, a pioneer of the Truckee meadows, who
died after a few days illness at the home of her daughter, Mrs. John Kleppe of
Glendale, were held yesterday afternoon from the Groesbeck and O’Brien funeral
parlors.  Rev. W.D. Trent officiating.  Interment followed in the plot at
Mountain View cemetery.

Misses Miller and Dunlap, August Frohlich and Prof. Haseman as a quarter sang
“Abide With Me”, “Rock of Ages” and “Nearer My God To Thee”,  Mrs. Wagner being
at the piano.  Pallbearers were:  Sherman Dabney, Robert Carmody, Edward
Carmody, Lawrence Moran, George Smith and Robert McCarthy
