Little Child Dies Suddenly

Helen Elsie Nelsen Passed Away This Morning After a Protracted Illness

Helen Elsie Nelsen, the little daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Nelsen of 27 West
Tenth street, died suddenly at an early hour this morning.
The child had been a sufferer from spinal trouble and this was recently
complicated with measles, but the child seemed to be recovering, when it
suddenly passed away.

Dr. Bickford, who is taking care of Dr. Pickard’s practice during the absence of
the latter, who is the physician to the Nelsen family, was called, but the child
was dead when he arrived.

Not having attended the case, and no other doctor having been called previously,
Dr. Bickford declined to give a death certificate, although he said that
everything seemed to be all right.  He telephone to Health Officer Mooser,
stating the case and the latter called up Coroner Davis.
No arrangements have been made for the funeral.
