He was a native of Ontario, Canada, and lived in Virginia City in the early days. He went to Memphis, Tenn., at the time of the yellow fever plague and subsequently lived in Virginia City and Sierraville, Cal. He resided for the last 10 years in Reno and leaves a brother, Thomas P. Pritchard, of Chico; a sister, Mrs. R. Waley, of Santa Cruz, and daughter Mrs. J.E. Arkell, of Reno. Funeral arrangements are to made later. He was a Mason and an Odd Fellow.
