Proctor Waldo P. Proctor died in Wadsworth, Friday, June 26, 1885, from injuries received at the falling of the Wadsworth bridge on that date. The funeral took place Sunday, June 28th, from the residence of the parents and was largely attended. Services were held in Music Hall, Rev. Jennings, of Reno, officiating. During the sermon there were many tears shed for the little fellow, who was a general favorite. Waldo P., son of Daniel and Elizabeth Proctor, was born in Wadsworth, Oct. 2, 1874. A resident of this place from infancy he was well-known by all. Kind and generous, he was loved. What was his, his playmates shared. Remarkably bright, ambitious, and studious, he led in his class. Gentle, and always willing to help those younger, he was held in high esteem by them. His character in every way gave promise of a happy and useful career. In his death the Wadsworth school has lost one its best pupils, the community its pride. His companions have a lost a schoolmate whose place no other can fill; his parents the light and joy of their home. A vacant seat in the schoolroom, but a spot forever green in memory. Gone to his maker, may he rest in peace File at: http://files.usgwarchives.net/nv/washoe/obits/proctor965gob.txt This file has been created by a form at http://www.genrecords.org/nvfiles/ File size: 1.8 Kb
