Funeral services will be held at Palisade today. Having completed her work in the Reno schools, Miss RAND was spending the vacation with her parents at their home 12 miles from Palisade. Monday she attempted to swim the Humbolt river, which is running fast with the melting snows, getting as far as the center of the stream when she became exhausted and sank before assistance could be given. - Reno Gazette
