Reno Evening Gazette January 29, 1912
Pioneer Resident of Nevada Crosses Divide

William J. Roberts, a pioneer resident of Nevada, who resided for a number of
years in Virginia City and came to Reno to make his home several years ago, died
yesterday morning at his home at 208 East Liberty street.  He had been ill for
some time and his death was not unexpected.  He was 68 years of age and was a
native of England, and leaves a widow and four children, Bessie and Gonlevn
Roberts, Mrs. F. V. Mcginness and Mrs. G.H. Phillips


Roberts-In this city, Jan. 28, 1912, William James, beloved husband of Sarah,
father of Bessie and Genevieve Roberts and Mrs. F.V. Mcginness and Mrs. H.
Phillips.

Aged 58 years, 3 months, 16 days. Native of England.  Funeral services private
tomorrow at 2 o’clock from his late residence, 208 East Liberty street, Rev.
Brewster Adams officiating.  No flowers.
