The deceased came to this state in 1859 and settled in the mining camp of Aurora. He was aged 75 years, and was a native of Sweden. For the past several years he resided in this city, spending a portion of his time at his ranch in Smith valley. The deceased is survived by his widow, Mrs. Mary E. Rogers. The living grandchildren are J.F. and G.W. Rogers and Mrs. J.W. Simpson, who reside in the east. Preparations for the funeral are not yet completed. July 20, 1912 Rogers-In Reno, July 14, 1912, John A., beloved husband of May E. Rogers, father of Mrs. J.W. Simpson of York Harbor, Me., J.F. Rogers of Reno and G.W. Rogers of Wellington. A native of Sweden, aged 74 years 9 months and 5 days. Friends wishing to view the remains can do so up to 7:30 p.m. today at the chapel of the Perkins-Gulling company, when the casket will be closed and forwarded to Wellington, where services will be held under the auspices of Capital Lodge No. 4, I.O.O.F., of Carson City.
