W. Ryland Passes Away Well Known Young Man of This City Dies in San Francisco Hotel Was Born in Nevada; to be Buried Beside Father Who Died a Year Ago Richard W. Ryland, one of the best known young men of Reno, died in San Francisco this morning at Lane’s hospital, where he has been for the past two weeks, seriously ill. His mother, Mrs. Richard W. Ryland of this city, was with him, and today wired to S. Spencer, a local Mason, to notify the Masonic, Odd Fellows and Eagles lodges and Y.M.C.A. of his death, and to prepare a grave beside the grave of his father who died a year ago in Reno. Since leaving Reno about a year ago Mr. Ryland had been in the east until taken ill and hurried through to the San Francisco hospital. The family residence here is on S. Virginia street. Mr. Spencer is now in telegraphic communication with the Masonic lodge of San Francisco arranging for details of the burial here. Mr. Ryland’s father, a prominent and wealthy Reno citizen, died a year ago. The son, who today succumbed to San Francisco, was a native of Nevada and was 31 years of age.
