Funeral services for William Newton Shirley, who died suddenly at 
his home in Sparks yesterday morning will be held on Saturday.
  Mr. Shirley had been a well known resident of Sparks for the last 
20 years, and resided for a time in Yerkington before moving to Sparks.  
He was born in Woodbury, tenn. 77 years ago.
     Surviving are {omitted}
     Funeral services will be held from the O'Brien-Rogers chapel at 
9:00 Saturday morning thence to the Church of the Immaculate 
Conception in Sparks.
