Seitz started home, and finding a long freight train at the crossing of Virginia street, attempted to go between two cars. The train started up, and after dragging Mr. Seitz a short distance he lost his hold and had both legs cut off. He was removed to the county hospital, but died at 4 o'clock yesterday morning. Mr. Seitz was removed to the county hospital at his own request and his mangled limbs amputated. The poor fellow pleaded for death to relieve him from the horrible pain long before the fatal hour came. Mr. Seitz is the last of several who have met death through freight trains blocking the crossings, and the Board of City Council should take steps to force the company to cut trains in two at crossings or build a bridge over the track that people may cross.
