Sellers Drowned J. S. Sellers, the carpenter, was drowned in the river at Mayberry’s this afternoon. He was at work with some other men in putting a new pier into the bridge. The pier was being floated down to its place, and Sellers, becoming entangled in a guiding rope, was dragged into the stream. He was seen struggling in the water for some time before he finally disappeared. Efforts are being made to recover the body. Mr. Sellers leaves a wife and a family of four sons and a daughter.
