Funeral of Wadsworth Pioneer Held Yesterday

Rev. T.L. Bellam, pastor of the Sparks Episcopal church, went in Wadsworth
yesterday to officiate at the funeral of Benjamin M. Shaber, who died Monday at
the advanced age of 84.  Rev. Bellam, was accompanied by Chief of Police James
Devine who was an old friend of Mr. Shaber's.

Mr. Shaber was well known and respected in Sparks, having settled in Glendale i
the early 60's.  He was one of the oldest pioneers in the state.  The funeral
services were attended by many friends and relatives.
