Reno Evening Gazette April 28, 1913
Former Resident of Reno Dies at Fallon

Information has been received from Fallon of the death at that place of William
W. Sherman, formerly a resident of Reno.  Mr. Sherman died yesterday and funeral
services will be held at Fallon tomorrow, the body being brought to this city
for interment.

William W. Sherman was the father of George E. Sherman, mayor of Fallon, and
proprietor of the Overland hotel at that place.  He lived in Reno for several
years with his son, who conducted the Palace cafe prior to moving to Fallon.  He
was a native of Maine, aged 73 years.
