Miss Sill’s funeral will take place from the Episcopal Church to-morrow morning at 10 o’clock. Friends and acquaintances are respectfully invited to attend. Reno Evening Gazette December 3, 1881 “Beyond the Smiling and the Weeping.” The funeral services of the late Miss Kate A. Sill, at Trinity Church this morning, was largely attended. Many surviving friends met to pay homage to the departed. The service, conducted by Bishop Whitaker and Rev. Mr. Jenvey, was very impressive. The choir sang that very beautiful anthem “Beyond the Smiling and the Weeping.” Miss May Cara’s solo, so feelingly and sacredly rendered, filled every eye with tears. Miss Quaiffe’s arrangement of that sweet hymn “I would not live always, I ask not to stay,” was very pathetic, Dickie Jose singing the solo part. Miss Anna Sill, sister of the deceased, accompanies the remains to Warren, Pennsylvania, on to-morrow’s overland.
