Simmons dies on coast Howard E. Simmons, a resident of Nevada for seven or eight years and a brother of W.H. Simmons of the Nevada public service commission, died at San Francisco last evening. Mr. Simmons had been suffering from disease of the heart for the last several years and recently was undergoing hospital treatment on the Coast, but his condition was believed to be improving. His death came as a surprise to relatives and friends here. Mr. Simmons came to Nevada about ten years ago and lived for a time at Tonopah and later at Reno. Three years ago he went to San Francisco in order to reside in a lower altitude. While there he was employed in the electrical department of the South Pacific Company. He was a member of the I. O. O.
