By her death Reno loses one of her loveliest young ladies. Although so young, being but 16 years and 3 months, she had a cultured mind and was a sweet singer of sacred and sentimental music. The funeral ceremonies, conducted by the Rev. C. L. Fisher at his church, were beautiful and impressive. At times during his very touching sermon but few in the large audience could restrain their tears. The large funeral cortege from the church to the grave was led by Hastings’ Cornet Band, which discoursed appropriate music, some of which was from favorite pieces of the dear departed. She was laid at rest while the band played “Home, Sweet Home,” such being her dying request. The following young gentlemen served as pall-bearers: H. F. Rube, Colonel Coats, F. Savage, Theodore Gebbardt, W. J. Cooksey and Edward Smith.
