Reno Evening Gazette April 13, 1881
Sudden Death
W. A. Wheat, who has been teaming between Wadsworth and the outlying mining
camps, came to Reno on Saturday last in poor health.  On Sunday he was much
worse and his physician pronounced the disorder pleuro-pneumonia.  All attempts
to arrest the disease were unavailing and this morning at 9 o’clock he died.
