Certificate No.: 137144 (Tombstone Arizona) Rokohl-Pixley The Tombstone Prospector dated April 15th, contains the following news: Surprises are thick and numerous when they do come, and J. A. Rokohl has taken a hand in surprising the public by changing the name of Miss Ollie Pixley to that of his own. The ceremony was performed last evening in the presence of a select few at the San Jose House. Miss Pixley has been in Tombstone for several months past and is too well known to the public to need an introduction. She was born in Carson, Nevada, her father being a prominent contractor there. Her mother and married sister reside at Reno and are highly respected. "Gus" as he is more familiarly known, has the best wishes of his numerous friends on his new voyage. He left on the noon coach for Phenix [sic], where he will locate. Mrs. Rokohl will follow him in about a fortnight. She is at present stopping at the San Jose House. Additional Comments: J. A. ROKOHL a.k.a. James A. ROKOHL, Auguste ROKOHL, and Gus Williams (stage name). Olive M. PIXLEY a.k.a. Miss Ollie Pixley, Mrs. J.A. ROKOHL, Mrs. David Calisher, is the daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Seymour & Sarah Pixley of Carson City, Washoe, NV. Sister of Emma PIXLEY (Mrs. Morrill Joseph CURTIS) of Reno, NV.
