Wedding Bells Ring Merrily
Cupid Working Overtime This month-Four Ceremonies Performed Yesterday
Wedding bells rang overcome in this city yesterday, eight fond hearts being
joined in four
Harry H. Hill, who for several years has been employed in the county treasurer’s
office, took unto himself to wife Miss Madge Whitehead of Woodland, Cal.  The
ceremony took place at the home of County Treasurer Dan D. Boyde.  Rev. Samuel
Unsworth officiated.  Mr. and Mrs. Hill will spend their vacation in California.
Rev. Unsworth was called later in the afternoon to solemnize the marriage of
C.A. Bender and Miss Mary B. Vinton, both of this city.  Mr. Bender has been
employed in this city for some time and Miss Vinton has been a teacher in the
public schools.
Stanley G. Palmer,  a well-known electrician of this city, and Miss Ethel
Prouty, who also has a host of friends, were married last evening at the home of
the bride’s parents, 132 West Tenth street.  They will spend a brief honeymoon
in California and will make their home at 204 Mill street.  Rev. Kelly officiated.
The wedding of Miss Grace E. Miller, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J.S. Miller, of
237 Plaza street, to Clarence W. Moffit, formerly of this city, but now of
Campbell, Cal, took place last evening at the family residence.  Rev. W. D.
Trout performed the ceremony.  Miss Millie Miller acted as bridesmaid, while
Earl Dukeson was best man.  A number of guests were present, some coming from
California.  Mr and Mrs. Moffit will reside at San Jose, Cal.
