He was 81. Born in St. Genevieve, Mo., on Wednesday, March 31, 1926, he was the son of the late James Celetuse and Annie Mae (Aikens) Carron. He was the widower of Wanda (Ivey) Carron. Mr. Carron worked as a head swine herdsman at Bunn Farms in Springfield, Ill. He also served in the U.S. Army in World War II He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Mr. Carron is survived by daughters Patsy Carron of Ely, Mickey Oller of Athens, Ill., Wendy Carron-Campbell of Spanish Fork, Utah and Maggie Carron of Spanish Fork; sons John (Sandy) of Raymond, Ill., Jerry of Spalding, Ill. and James of Butler, Ill. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. He is survived by one sister, Lily Hill. He was preceded in death by his wife Wanda Carron on April 10, 2006. Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, at Hough Funeral Home in Raymond, Ill. Graveside services were held at Camp Butler National Cemetery in Illinois.
