Woman succumbs after auto crash.
Ely, July 25.

Mrs. Lew B. Collum of San Jose, Calif., died Friday afternoon 
a few hours after the GMC pickup truck she was driving went out 
of control and plunged off the highway about 10 miles north of 
Schellbourne station on highway 50, about 50 miles from Ely.

   Her husband was knocked unconcious but was not hospitalized.  
He said that the accident occurred in the mid-afternoon, and no 
one came along to offer assistance until nearly 2 p.m.
  The Collums were en route to Kansas on a vacation trip.
