Reno Evening Gazette October 19, 1881
Purdy-In Long Valley, October 19th, Solomon Purdy, a native of Poughkeepsie,
N.Y., aged 80 years.

Gone To Rest
For eighty years Uncle Sol Purdy has been in this busy, and at last his task is
finished and he has gone.  Mr. Purdy was buried this afternoon in the Masonic
cemetery, his brother Masons performed the last sad rites.  His funeral was
largely attended and very impressive.  He leaves many warm personal friends. 
Peace to his ashes.
