Robinson of White Pine county, died in New York on June 15, 1889. Mr. Robinson was an active mining man and in his death White Pine loses a good friend. The White Pine News says: Mr. Robinson was a Presidential Elector from Nevada at the late election and cast the vote of the State for Harrison last February. Personally Mr. Robinson was man who had strong likes and dislikes. To his friends he was true and cordial in all his relations; to his enemies, or those who crossed his imperial will, he was bitter and unrelenting in his hatred. A prince among men, by nature, education and social training, was Eugene N. Robinson. Whence his spirit hath flown required a special train, for he was not of the common herd. Many people in White Pine will sincerely regret his untimely death. The Gazette does not believe, however, that a man educated in Wall street departed this life on a “special train.” He has gone the way of all flesh, and the chances are ten to one that he was glad to catch on to St. Peter’s chariot most anywhere and be satisfied with a seat on the hurricane deck if he could not find any other.
