Mae was born in Catskill, N.Y. on January 2, 1948, daughter of the late James D. and Eleanor (Chamberlain) Baitsholts. She was an LPN for 25 years at Albany Medical Center and more recently at Child's Nursing Home. She was a member of the Dormansville U.M. Church and was also the church treasurer, a member of United Methodist Women and the Hiawatha Grange. Mea had a special love for her cats. Surviving are her two sisters, Magdaline Tallman of Rensselaerville, N.Y. and Janice Bodish of Medusa, N.Y.; her three brothers, Lawrence Buzz Baitsholts of Missoula, Mont., David Baitsholts of Rensselaerville, N.Y. and Robert Baitsholts of the state of Washington; cousins, Ruth Chamberlain, formerly of Dormansville, N.Y., Francis Zinzow of Selkirk, N.Y. and Fred Chamberlain Jr. of Delmar, N.Y. and many nieces and nephews. Also surviving is her long time companion, Frances Swart of Dormansville. A graveside service will be at the Hannacroix Rural Cemetery on Friday, August 13, 2004 at 11 a.m. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, August 22, 2004 at 2 p.m. at the Dormansville United Methodist Church. Benardo, Louise Margaret SCHENECTADY On August 10, 2004 Louise Benardo (Stipano) died at Ellis Hospital after a long courageous battle with cancer at the age of 66. She will no longer know a life of sorrow and pain but will have eternal rest with Our Lord Louise was a lifelong resident of Schenectady and lived on Elbert Street. She was employed by New York State Dept. of Labor as a calculations clerk for many years. She is predeceased by her loving husband, Pasquale (Pat) Benardo, who passed away in 1975, her son Paul Benardo, in 2000 and her sister Theresa Welch, in 1999. Louise is survived by her cherished daughter, Lisa (Randy) Egnaczyk, a dear brother, John (Carolyn) Stipano and loving sister Nancy MacLea. She also leaves her adored grandchildren, Nicholas and Nathan Baum; Alexandria, Rebekah, Asa, and Leah Egnaczyk; Jianna Benardo and her great-grandson, Dominic Baum. Louise is also survived by her dear friend and faithful companion, Vincent Nicastro and many loving nieces and nephews. Following high school, John was employed by the Niagara Mohawk Power Corporation and continued there until his passing. In his leisure time, John was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed the Adirondacks. Derbyshire Early, 93, formerly of 4th Avenue, died Thursday, August 12, 2004 at the Evergreen Commons in East Greenbush. Born in Albany on February 7, 1911, she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Priscilla McCade Derbyshire. She was a resident of Watervliet since 1936 and was a resident of Evergreen Commons for the past five years. She was employed by the New York Telephone Company and later returned to school and graduated in 1968 from Hudson Valley Community College. She was a medical assistant working in several area doctors offices retiring in 1982. She was a communicant of Sacred Heart of Mary Church in Watervliet and was a member of its Rosary Society. She was a member of the Watervliet Lodge of Elks Ladies Auxiliary. She was the widow of the late Joseph H. Early, former city manager of the City of Watervliet; devoted mother of Joseph R. Early of Watervliet and Sharon C. Wemple and her partner Mary Ann McNamara of Rotterdam; sister of George Derbyshire of West Sand Lake and the late Mary Ruth Conley, Grace Witbeck, Mildred and Claire Derbyshire. She is also survived by three grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. He had resided in Albany until 1969 when he moved to Grafton and attended Albany schools. Mr. Gardy was a driver for Bond Bread for nine years, for several years at Freihofer Baking Company and was a self-employed carpenter. He was known as Mr. Fixit, having the ability to fix anything. McCrindle, John GLENVILLE John McCrindle, 88, of Jennifer Rd., died Thursday August 12, 2004 at St. Clare's Hospital. John was born in Kilmarnock, Scotland on March 5, 1916 the son of Thomas and Annie McCrindle and moved to the United States at the age of seven. He was a graduate of Mont Pleasant High School and later attended G.E. apprentice programs where he focused on photography as a career. John entered the Army Air Corps, stationed in England where he served as a sergeant during World War II. He played soccer as a young adult and was very good at the sport. John continued with Maqua Printing and later with General Electric's main plant as an industrial photographer for nearly 30 years until his retirement in 1977. He was married on August 23, 1941 to the former Frieda Doring. John was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Schenectady for many years. His hobbies included sailing, woodworking and astronomy. He built three sailboats which he enjoyed for many years. He was predeceased by his wife Frieda McCrindle on October 12, 1999. Survivors include his son, Douglas J. McCrindle of Charlton, N.Y.; three grandsons, Heath, Jacob and Noah McCrindle; a sister-in-law, Ella M.E. Weber of Schenectady. She received a bachelor's degree from Russell Sage College in 1931. Mrs. Morris taught at Draper High School in Schenectady and Averill Park High School. In later years, she substituted at Troy High School. Her husband died in 1987. Mrs. Morris was a former member of The Troy Woman's Club, Ilium Literary Club, Hudson Valley Antique Study Club, Samaritan Hospital Auxiliary, the Rensselaer County Historical Society, Russell Sage Alumnae Association, and was a communicant of St. Paul's Episcopal Church. Born in Milwaukee, Wis., he was the son of Mary Bembenek Mroczkowski of Milwaukee and the late Chester Mroczkowski. Doctor Mroczkowski was a graduate of the University of Wisconsin Medical School. He came to Albany in 1997 to practice at Albany Medical Center where he was the director of the department of rheumatology. He was a communicant of Historic St. Mary's Church on Capitol Hill and a member of the American College of Rheumatology, the American Board of Internal Medicine and the American Medical Association. She was born January 6, 1920 in Albany, N.Y., daughter of David and Blanche Benjamin and attended Milne High School in Albany. She than graduated from the Katherine Gibbs School in Boston. After graduation, she held several administrative positions in the New York State government and most enjoyed her assignment as an assistant for Owen D. Young when he directed the state commission for the creation of the New York State University System. As a Red Cross volunteer, she was recognized for her dedication to the pheresis program and, at one time, had contributed more platelets than any donor in this district. In particular, her rare red blood type was used to maintain the lives of two children in Albany. She was a magnificent floral arranger and gardener and an accomplished pianist. Also, she was active in the aerobics dance groups and a member of the Mohawk Golf Club. Vida was an assistant to Father Darwin Kirby at Saint George's Episcopal Church, where she was also a member for many years. She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Stanford Neal and her daughter, Mary Kathryn Naftzger and her husband Frederick of Ballston Lake, N.Y.; grandmother of Sarah and David Naftzger. She was born in Wilkes Barre, Pa. and was the daughter of the late Walter and Catherine Zebrowski. Sally was a longtime resident of Schenectady. She was predeceased in 1991 by her husband Frank Ruminski. She is the beloved mother of Christine Pasko of Colonie and Christopher Ruminski of Williamsburg, Va. She is the sister of Ida Donnelly of Colonie and the late Josephine Van Buren, Walter, William and Stephen Zebrowski. She is the sister-in-law of Regina Kazmierczak and Sophie Zebrowski. He was born in Schenectady and was the son of the late Anthony and Margaret Morrell Scavia. He, along with his wife Doris, was a summer resident at Copeland Pond in West Ft. Ann for many years. A veteran of the US Army, he served on the Solomon Islands during World War II. Ed was a mail carrier in Schenectady for many years, retiring in 1973. He enjoyed the outdoors, camping, traveling, fishing, gardening and playing poker. He is survived by his wife, Doris E. Novak Scavia. He is the brother of John Scavia, Richard Scavia and Helen Racco. He is the uncle of Bob Scavia and Carol Novak Gundersen. Several other nieces and nephews also survive. Scott, Mark Philip HOUSTON, Texas Mark Philip Scott, husband, father, friend and eternal optimist, died peacefully on August 5, 2004, at Houston Hospice at the Texas Medical Center after an eighteen-month battle with cancer. He was born in Mt. Vernon, N.Y. on June 3, 1941 to Philip and Margaret Scott. At age six the family moved to Delmar, N.Y. where in 1959 he graduated from Bethlehem High School. He attended Albany Jr. College and Marist College in Poughkeepsie, N.Y. graduating in 1966 with a BA in history. He served in the United States Army from 1966-1968. After completion of his military duty, Mark embarked on what would prove to be a long and distinguished career in insurance and financial services joining Union Mutual in Rochester, N.Y. in 1971. It was a perfect fit for his outgoing nature and genuine concern for everyone that he encountered. That perfect fit was evidenced by his twice being selected for the Alfred J. Perkins award as National Salesman of the year. From the theater to hiking trails, from the golf club to the Y, from Square Dancing to snow skiing, Mark enjoyed it all, especially so after retirement in 1996. Mark's greatest pleasure was his family and he will be missed by his wife, Elizabeth Stribling Scott; sons, David, his wife Marla and their son, Matthew of Longview, Texas and Gary Scott of Tyler, Texas. Mark is also survived by his mother, Margaret Scott of Slingerlands and three brothers and wives, Phil and Betty Scott of East Greenbush, N.Y., John and Mary Scott of Cazenovia, N.Y. and Dan and Joan Scott of Northboro, Mass. and one sister and husband, Barbara and Bob Taylor of Omaha, Neb. He was also a Favorite Uncle to 12 nieces and nephews. Rosaria Sadie Sellitti, 86, died Tuesday, August 10, 2004 after a brief illness at the Ormond Beach Memorial Hospital surrounded by her children. Mrs. Sellitti was born in Brooklyn, N.Y. on April 20, 1918. She was a life long Brooklyn resident until she moved to Florida three years ago to be with her daughter. Mrs. Sellitti loved antiques and ran her own antique shop. Mrs. Sellitti was the beloved wife of Anthony Sellitti for 54 years until his death in 1989. She is survived by her beloved children, Dr. Vincent Sellitti and his wife Claire of Slingerlands and Constance Louise Taylor and her husband Fred of Fla. Marcia Mead Thiele, 78, of Fort Smith, died August 1, 2004 following an extended illness. She was born December 18, 1925 in Albany, N.Y., grew up in Palo Alto, Calif. He was a U.S. Army veteran and served active duty in Germany. Mr. Vail retired in 1990 after 36 years with Fleet Bank where he was an assistant vice-president for investment and trust. He was a former member of the Mendelssohn Club of Albany and former treasurer of Trinity Episcopal Church. He also was an avid genealogist. Yetto Sr., died on Tuesday, August 10, 2004 at Samaritan Hospital. Born and educated in Louisville, Ky., she was the daughter of the late John G. and Eugenia Giker Beyer. She resided in Wynantskill for 58 years and was a charter member of St. Jude the Apostle Church, Wynantskill and was a longtime member of the church's Rosary Altar Society. She was a member of the Wynantskill Senior Citizens and served as treasurer and sunshine chairman for several years. She also enjoyed the Wynantskill Seniors Bowling League. She is survived by her children, Edward L. Yetto Jr. of Hoosick Falls, William J. Yetto of Wynantskill, James L. Yetto of Schodack, Paul Yetto of Fla., George Piche of Troy, Louise G. Trottier of Brunswick and Richard Esposito of Syracuse and her sister, Martha Beyer Yetto of Wynantskill. She is predeceased by her brother, Charles Beyer.
