AMSTERDAM Mrs. Mary L. Achcet, 82, of Christman Place, passed away Wednesday morning, July 14, 2004 at St. Mary's Hospital, Amsterdam, N.Y. Born in Amsterdam, N.Y., August 31, 1921, she was a daughter of Charles and Ann Sammons Ginevan. Mrs. Achcet received her education and was a graduate of St. Mary's Institute in Amsterdam, N.Y. Mrs. Achcet was employed for 45 years at New York Telephone Company, where she was chief operator in Albany, Schenectady and Amsterdam until retiring in 1984. Mrs. Achcet was a parishioner, Eucharistic minister and lector at both St. Mary's Church in Amsterdam, N.Y. and St. Peter the Apostle Church in Naples, Fla. and a member of its rosary societies. She was a volunteer at St. Mary's and Amsterdam Memorial Hospitals, Community Hospice of Amsterdam, the American Red Cross, a member of St. Mary's Hospital Club 60 and the Telephone Pioneers of America. Mrs. Achcet is survived by her husband, William C. Achcet Sr., to whom she was married October 9, 1943; one son, William C. Achcet Jr. and his wife Margaret of Edinburg, N.Y.; one daughter, Mary Alice Benamy and her husband Russell of Media, Pa.; four grandchildren, Charles P. Achcet of Broomfield, Colo., Christine M. Achcet of Round Lake, N.Y. and Erica and Sara Benamy of Media, Pa.; two great-grandchildren, Olivia and Mia Achcet of Amsterdam, N.Y.; one sister, Margaret Peggy Petruccione of Saratoga Springs, N.Y.; nieces, nephews and cousins. Mrs. Achcet was predeceased by three brothers, Charles, Walter and Edward Ginevan. Breen, Brinley Harp DELMAR Brinley M. Harp Breen, 80, died Tuesday, July 13, 2004 in the Hospice Inn at St. Peter's Hospital. Born in Maesteg, Great Britain, he was the son of the late Patrick and Emily Breen. Harp was an U.S. Army World War II veteran, serving his country in the Central Europe, Rhineland and Ardennes campaigns. He retired as office manager after 50 years with Capital Staple Co. in Albany. He was a member of the Albany Elks Lodge 49 and the Joseph E. Zaloga American Legion Post. Harp was a lifetime member of the Polish Community Center. He was the dear companion of Irene Roman of Delmar; father of Thomas Breen (Victoria) of Latham; grandfather of Meghan, Brian and Courtney; brother of Patricia B. Mottolese (Dr. Thomas) of Albany; several nieces and nephews also survive. Buddenhagen, 62, of Colonie, died Tuesday, July 13, 2004 at the Inn of Community Hospice at St. Peter's Hospital after a brief illness. He was born in Callicoon, N.Y. and was the son of the late Herbert and Kathleen Davenport Buddenhagen. Ross was a graduate of the Delaware Valley Central Schools and SUNY at Oneonta. He was a resident of Colonie since 1965 and began his teaching career that same year at Colonie Village School. His teaching career spanned 32 years in the South Colonie School District at Saddlewood, Sand Creek and Lisha Kill Schools. Ross was very active with the South Colonie Teachers Association where he held many offices, including executive committee and longtime negotiator. Ross was recognized as Teacher of the Year in 1985 and honored by Who's Who among American Teachers. He was a proud member of the Town of Colonie Zoning Board of Appeals and the town's Youth Advisory Board. Ross was a former member of his hometown's Hortonville Volunteer Fire Department. He was a longtime officer of the Midway Fire Department in Colonie, serving in numerous capacities and offices. He was chief of the department from 1975 through 1978. Ross was currently commissioner with the Midway Fire District and past commissioner Stanford Heights Fire District. He was a member of the Albany County Recruitment and Retention Committee and operations car officer for the town. He was a member of several local and state fire district associations, the Electric City Chorus and Tamarack Hunting Club in Callicoon, N.Y. Ross enjoyed gardening, collecting fire memorabilia and was an avid sports fan, especially NY Giants football. He was a valuable, trusted treasure to his community. Ross will always be remembered for his passion for the youth of Colonie, for his dedication and devotion to the Midway Fire District and his genuine and sincere desire to help others. He was a true mentor and father figure to many people in Colonie and beyond. Ross is survived by his best friend and true love, Kim Purdy of Colonie. He is the beloved brother of Mary Etta Hornicek (Charles), Kathleen Moran (William), all of Hortonville, Virginia Gugielmone (Tito) of Callicoon and Daniel Buddenhagen (Jane) of Hortonville. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. He will be missed by his beloved feline friends, Max and D.C. Mr. Dewsbury was a mason and tile setter and was employed for 20 years at SUNY Albany, retiring in 1988. He was a member of the Capital Area Masons and Unitas Memorial VFW Post 9594 in Ravena. He was a life member of American Legion Post 114 in Ravena and a past member of Ravena Hose Company #1 and Fire Police. He was a member and past president of Sandy's Golf League. Mr. Frazier had been employed for most of his life as a meat cutter for Armour Meat Packing Co. in Troy. Later, he was employed as a maintenance worker at Shenendehowa Central Schools in Clifton Park, retiring in 1979. He was a veteran of the US Army, serving during World War II, and was a communicant of St. Bernard's Church, Cohoes. Survivors include his daughter, Christina Hebert of Watervliet; his son, Gary Frazier of Clifton Park and the late Timothy Frazier; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive. He was born in Jericho, L.I. and was the son of the late Adalbert C. and Sophie Golinska Klevanosky. He was employed as an auto body mechanic for 20 years and later as a glazier, from which he retired in 1980. Paul served in the Navy during World War II on a destroyer escort and was a member of the Destroyer Escort Sailors Association and the Voorheesville American Legion Post 1493. He was a member of the New Scotland Senior Citizens and a 22-year member of the New Scotland Kiwanis Club. He is survived by his daughter, Karen Klevanosky of Voorheesville and several nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. Paul was predeceased by his wife, Jeannette, in 1979 and siblings, Charles, John, Stanley, Sophie, Victoria and Helen. He was born in Stillwater and was the son of the late Aleksander Krasuski and Marianne (Rozycki) Krasuski. He was educated in the Stillwater school systems. He along with his beloved late wife, Helen M. Krasuski and their son Vincent, were the owners and operators of Krasuski Dairy Farm in Stillwater. Vincent was a communicant of St. Peter's Church in Stillwater. He was a 41-year member of the National Farmers Organization and Dairy Farmers of America. Pleasures of his included reading and traveling, especially to his yearly farming convention. He was the loving and devoted husband to the late Helen M. (Borodziak) Krasuski, whom he married on November 15, 1941. Cherished father of Edward V. (Ungilbung) Krasuski of Malta; Sara I. (Walter) Boleski of Mechanicville, Vincent (Carol) Krasuski Jr. of Stillwater and the late William Krasuski. She worked at the General Electric Company for 25 years. Subsequently, she was a statistician for the New York State Health Department in Albany for several years until retiring. Lois was born in Oneonta and has lived in New Baltimore for 67 years. In 1984, Lois retired after 40 years of service with the former State Bank of Albany. She loved gardening and was an avid Yankee fan. Lois was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church in Ravena. Lois was the wife of the late John M. Mangini. Survivors include her children, Margaret Ego of Conn., James Mangini of Glenmont and Patricia Plass of Albany; brother, John M. (Dottie) Jones; sisters, Margaret Conrad and Mary (Richard) Powell; nine grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Lois was predeceased by her son, J. Roberts Jr., Charles Daniel ESPERANCE Charles Daniel Roberts, Jr., 31, of Burtonville Road passed away peacefully at his home on July 14, 2004 surrounded by his loved ones after a courageous battle with cancer of the appendix. Charles grew up in Esperance and was a lifelong resident of the Capital District. A graduate of Schoharie High School, He was active in track, wrestling, cross-country, and many school functions. He attended Suny Albany majoring in criminal justice. Charles was employed as a manager at many of the Friendly's restaurants in the area. He loved sports, playing competitive volleyball and golf, was an avid Dallas Cowboys and New York Yankees fan. He was a caring person always putting his loved ones first even during his long illness. Young departed this life abruptly on July 8, 2004. He was the son of Donna C. Starks-Tillman and Willie G. Young. He was born March 9, 1971. He was educated and graduated from the Albany Public School System in 1989. He was a Christian and a God-fearing person who often exhibited his Christian beliefs in his treatment of people. He attended Baran Institute of Technology, Westhaven/Windsor, Conn., graduating April 7, 1995. This training equipped him to explore and expand his life passion as a diesel engineer and automobile mechanic. Upon graduating, he was employed at H.L. Gage. He later went to Atlantic Detroit and then to Tracy Freightliner. His work experience included Niagara Mohawk and Delta Airlines. At the time of his death, he was employed at Cruz Automotive in Albany as a master automotive mechanic. He was a compassionate, loving, caring, sharing and unique humanitarian. He was an asset to the family and community. He tried so hard to please. He was a person that tried to abort the evil around him. He believed that to be kind and supportive, he could control the evil in the community. He was a lover of motorcycles and all bicycles. He loved to repair bicycles. He was a born mechanic who had a natural love. Left to cherish his memory, three children, Bianca Monee, Jarrell Michael Aaron and Jordyn Ani, all of Albany; his loving mother, Donna C. Starks-Tillman (Dennis) of Albany; his father, Willie G. Young (Linda) of Halifax, Va.
