She was born and educated in Cohoes and was the daughter of the late Joseph and Agnes Pelletier Michaud. She was a machine operator at the Troy District, Cohoes and was a homemaker and enjoyed sewing as a hobby. She was a communicant of Holy Trinity Parish, Cohoes. She enjoyed many years camping with family and friends. Mrs. Dassatti is survived by her husband of 70 years, Virginio (Al) Dassatti of Cohoes; her daughter, Jane Jarvis and her husband Ernest of Cohoes; her grandchildren, Kathleen Moore and her husband Richard of Waterford and Lawrence (Larry) Jarvis of Waterford. Harris & Sons of N.Y. located in Latham where he was president. He was a member of the Mohawk Country Club in Niskayuna and the Society of Civil Engineers. He enjoyed the relaxation of golf and his many travel experiences. He was the beloved husband of Virginia (Sparks) Eck who resides in Ballston Lake. She was a communicant of the Church of the Immaculate Conception in Glenville and proudly served as president of the rosary altar society. He was a graduate of Crosby High School in Waterbury and Middlebury College in Middlebury, Vt. He retired over 30 years ago from the Fireman's Fund where he had been an insurance investigator. December 2, 1912, the son of Allison and Jessie (Goodermote) Whitegiver. He was a graduate of Troy High School and furthered his education at the New York Diesel Institution in Albany. He worked for the Army Depot in Voorheesville, the American Locomotive Company in Schenectady, and the Watervliet Arsenal. Elmore was a lifelong member (76 Years) and served as deacon and elder of the Blooming Grove Reformed Church, a trustee for the Blooming Grove Cemetery for 30 years and a member of the DeFreestville Fire Department for many years. Elmore's joy in life was his family. His wife of 63 years, Ruth (Anderson) Whitegiver predeceased him February 10, 2004.
