CLIFTON PARK Myfanwy Muvy Roberts Case, 85, of the Schuyler Ridge Residential Health Care Facility and formerly of Glens Falls, died suddenly Sunday, October 3, 2004 at St. Peter's Hospital. Mrs. Case was born in Caerau/Maesteg, Glamorganshire, Wales, daughter of the late Moses and Morfudd Henry Roberts, settling in Fair Haven, Vt. in 1929. She was educated at Castleton State College and Mildred Elley Business School in Albany. In 1951, she moved to Glens Falls where she worked in the mortgage department of Albany Savings Bank. Mrs. Case was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Glens Falls, the Glens Falls Association of the Blind and Welsh organizations including St. David's Society of the Capital District and St. David's Society of Poultney, Vt. She was wife of the late Thomas Henry Case. Survivors include her daughter, Gwyneth Case Ramage and her husband Robert of Loudonville; two grandchildren, Laura and Brian Ramage; and her sister, Eluned Robert of Clifton Park. A memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family. Chiusano, Michael Angelo BALLSTON LAKE Michael Angelo Chiusano, 80, of Ballston Lake, died Saturday, October 2, 2004 at Alterra Assisted Living, after a long illness. Born in Orlando, Fla., Mr. Chiusano had been in the area most of his life. He was a mechanical engineer and district and regional manager for General Electric, Schenectady in the steam turbine generator and installation and service engineering departments. He retired May 1, 1985 after 38 years of service. Mr. Chiusano was a U.S. Navy veteran attaining the rank of Ensign, serving in Adar, Ala., the American Theatre and Asiatic Pacific Theatre during World War II. He was a graduate of RPI with a B.S. in mechanical engineering and Union College with his master's degree. He was of the Unitarian Church. He was also a licensed professional engineer in NY state. A member of the General Electric Elfun Society. Mr. Chiusano enjoyed piano and organ playing, and square dancing. He was an Elfun Society Mentor for Martin Luther King School and member of the Electric City Chorus. Mr. Chiusano is survived by five children, Robert M. Chiusano of Cedar Rapids, Michele DeGeorgia of Rotterdam, Dean Chiusano of Clifton Park, Michael J. Chiusano of Clifton Park and David Chiusano of Schenectady. Survived also by nine grandchildren, and was the brother of Philomena, Theresa, Lorraine and Albert, all of the New York City area. Funeral services will be private. There will be no calling hours. Chrisjohn, Evelyn PITTSFIELD, Mass. Evelyn Marie Chrisjohn, 77, of Pittsfield, died on October 6, 2004 at the Berkshire Medical Center after a long illness. She was born in Painted Post, N.Y. on June 2, 1927 and was the daughter of the late Curtis and Mary Hagadorn Chrisjohn. Evelyn was a resident of the Capital District area for most of her life. She worked as the executive secretary for Lawrence Welk in Calif. for a number of years. She later worked at the Central Warehouse in Albany as an executive secretary. Evelyn is survived by a son, Rick McFeeters of Warwick, R.I.; a daughter, Lyanne Marie Howe of Schenectady, N.Y.; and a grandchild, Tyler McFeeters. A graveside service will be held on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at Albany Rural Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. There will be no calling hours at the family's request. Third Ave., died Wednesday, October 6, 2004 at Mary's Haven Residential Home in Saratoga Springs, following a long illness. A native and lifelong resident, he was born February 28, 1936, the son of Louis F. D'Ambro and the late Lucy DeMartino D'Ambro. A graduate of Mechanicville High School, Louis first worked for the Mechanicville Auto Parts store with his father where he learned the trade. Following that, Lou worked for Perrault's Auto Parts for 15 years. Mr. D'Ambro served in the U.S. Army. He was a member of the Mechanicville-Stillwater Elks Lodge and the Plum Brook Fish and Game Club. Louis enjoyed playing with computers, as well as building them. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved fishing and hunting. He was known by his family to have a major sweet tooth. Louis most cherished moments were the times spent with his children and grandchildren. Survivors, in addition to his father, include his wife Margaret H. Hunt D'Ambro whom he married on August 17, 1957. He is also survived by his daughter, Ann (Joseph) Gaetano; son, Scott (Lisa) D'Ambro, both of Mechanicville, a son, Louis (Lisa) D'Ambro of Glen Allen, Va. and a daughter, Pamela (Anthony) Gramuglia of Clifton Park. Grandchildren, Andrew, Nathan, Nicholas Gaetano, Anthony, Giovanni, Dante, Luciano D'Ambro, Liana D'Ambro and Vincenzo, Angelina and Julianna Gramuglia. Delaney, 83, formerly of Nassau, died Wednesday, October 6, 2004 at Child's Nursing Home in Albany after a long illness. Mr. Delaney was born in Chicago, Ill. He served in the Army during World War II with the rank of staff sergeant. After the war, he moved to Nassau with his late wife Frances Mc Kever Delaney. He lived in Nassau until needing nursing home care in 1994. He was employed as a supervisor of the chemical warehouse at BASF in Rensselaer, retiring in 1977 after 33 years service. He worked for seven years at the Rensselaer County Sewage Treatment Plant retiring in 1984. Ray was a life member of the Chandler-Young V.F.W. Post 8162, a communicant of St. Mary's Church in Nassau and was a former member of the Nassau American Legion Post #1268 and the Rensselaer Elks. Mr. Delaney is survived by his children, Robert E. Delaney of Old Lyme, Conn., Michael F. Delaney of Nassau, Susan J. Shields of Nassau and Nancy R. She was born in Oneonta and lived in Schenectady before moving to East Greenbush over 40 years ago. Mrs. Ehrcke was employed as a secretary for the ALCO in Schenectady, Yankee Trails in Rensselaer, 4th District Dental Society and the Greenbush Reformed Church. She was a member of TOPS, the camera club and the Greenbush Reformed Church in East Greenbush. She was an avid reader, board game player and photographer. She was the wife of the late Dr. John W. Ehrcke, DDS. Mother of Margaret (Stephen) Hayes of East Greenbush and the late Robert P. Ehrcke. Daughter of the late Raymond Barnes; sister of Marjorie (Peter) Colarossi of Ormond Beach, Fla. and the late Carolyn Buell. Fonda, Mary CLIFTON PARK Mary Fonda, 79, of Clifton Park, beloved wife of Clayton W. Fonda for 48 years, died Wednesday, October 6, 2004 at St. Mary's Hospital in Troy. Born and educated in Cohoes, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Anna McMelon Vogel. She married her beloved husband, Clayton on June 30, 1956. She was employed by Bernie Box Co. in Troy as a young woman for 12 years and later by food operations at Siena College as a group leader for 10 years. Mary also worked for food operations at NY Telephone for one year. She had resided in Cohoes for many years and moved to Clifton Park in 1963. She was a former member of the Boght Reformed Church. She enjoyed bowling and traveling with her husband. Mary had a love of gardening and growing flowers. Survivors in addition to her husband include her brothers, Fred J. Vogel of Cohoes, Bobby Vogel of Troy and her sister, Martha Mooney of Troy and several nieces and nephews. Born April 3, 1914 in Brooklyn, N.Y., he was the son of the late Francis and Margaret (Carmody) Gray. He was married in Brooklyn to the former Mary Katherine Melley, who died February 23, 2002. A resident of Coxsackie since 1956, Mr. Gray was a communicant of St. Mary's Church, Coxsackie. He had been employed at the Coxsackie Correctional Facility as an identification officer from 1956 to his retirement in 1977. Mr. Gray enjoyed photography, was a member of the Coxsackie Photography Club and photographed many local weddings and special events. He was a freelance photographer for the former Coxsackie Union News. He is survived by his three daughters, Marlene Taranto of Earlton, Lorraine Finnerty of Gresham, Ore. and Lynn Brunner of Athens. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, Dean Finnerty of Cottage Grove, Ore., Eric Finnerty of Gresham, Shawn Finnerty of Gresham, Jennifer Miller of Coxsackie, Justin Taranto of Earlton, N.Y., Robert Brunner of Ind. and Brendan Brunner of Athens; and ten great-grandchildren. Joyce COLONIE After a lengthy illness, A. Joyce Greg, 73, entered into the loving embrace of Our Heavenly Father on Wednesday, October 6, 2004. She was born in Albany on January 9, 1931. She fought her illness like she lived the rest of her life. She met every obstacle and setback with acceptance, strength and her ever-constant faith. She had a strong devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary which sustained her through many of life's trials and tribulations. The joy in her life was giving to others. She was always the first to lend a helping hand to anyone in need, whether from the human or animal world. After graduating from high school, she worked for the WROW radio station in Albany. She enjoyed working with the students at the Memorial School of Nursing as a secretary/house mother and later as an aide in the Memorial School Library from 1971-1995. She was a communicant of the Church of Our Lady of Mercy and a member of the church rosary society. Joyce was predeceased by her infant son, Stanley W. Greg, in 1953, always telling her surviving children that, we had our own special angel in Heaven. She leaves to mourn her memory, her husband of 54 years, Stanley W. Greg; her sons, Richard (Judy) Greg of Clifton Park, Mark (Denise) Greg of N.C. and John Greg of Albany; her daughters, Terri Fischer of Albany and Diane Cerveney of Calif. DELMAR Raymond Francis Kalendek, 72, beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend, on October 6, 2004, peacefully closed his eyes at home and went to be with the Lord. Ray was an extremely devoted and loving family man. His life revolved around his family and his home. Always an active man, he took pleasure in many interests. He enjoyed gardening, woodworking, reading, traveling, candle making, Yankee games and being Mr. Fix It. Most of all, he treasured time spent in the company of his family and his two dogs, Scruffy and Mandy. The tremendous loss and grief will be forever embedded in the hearts of those who love him. He will also be mourned by Robert Ford, his closest friend of 67 years. He will be greatly missed by adopted family members, Mark Burke, Sr. and son, Markie. Born July 6, 1932 in Albany, N.Y., Ray was the son of the late Raymond C. Kalendek and the late Antonina (Jane) Kalendek. He attended school at the former St. Ann's Academy. He served his country faithfully in Germany during the Korean War. After 27 years of employment with the Capital District Transportation Authority, he retired in 1996 as a supervisor/trainer. He held many offices in the Bethlehem Elks Lodge #2233 and was Past Exalted Ruler in 1985. He was a member of the American Legion Post #1040. King, 87, of Latham, died Monday, October 4, 2004 after a long illness with Alzheimer's Disease at the Eddy Heritage House Nursing Center in Troy. Born in Cohoes on April 14, 1917, he was a Latham resident for over 50 years. Gordon was a 1936 graduate of Cohoes High School and a member of the Spindle City 36'ers, a school alumni group. He had served in the Army Air Force during World War II. During his lifetime, Gordon had a varied work career. He worked for General Electric Turbine Division, as sales manager for Memory's Garden Cemetery, as a garden supply dealer in Clifton Park and was a self-employed vinyl repair technician. Gordon was the husband of the late Dorothy Reamer King. He is the son of the late Helen Drummond King and William King of England. He is the father of Carolyn J. Eichele of Averill Park, James G. King of Lowell, Mass. and the late Joan E. King. Grandfather of Lynn Aldrich, Lisa Buell, Scott King, Amanda King Worley, Adrian King, Abbott King and the late Austin King. She was born in Baltimore, Md. and was the daughter of Gordon Cross and Dorothy Poole. After an education in computer programming, Beverly followed her career to Albany. She was employed for Tobin Packing Company before becoming the bookkeeper for Krug Farms in Colonie, until her retirement. Beverly has also enjoyed a successful career as a professional musician, known as Beverly Kaye. She played piano and organ at many of the area's finest jazz clubs and venues. She is survived by her husband, William Krug; her children, John (Cindy) Wilkinson, William (Debra) Krug, Lisa (Michael) Carey, and Randy (Renee) Krug; and her eight grandchildren. Al had taken many courses of study through the years at Maria College, Cornell University, St. Bernard's and summer enrichment courses at the College of St. Rose. Mr. Margiotta had worked for the New York State Department of Transportation as a health benefits administrator, retiring in 2000, with over 30 years service. He was a past president of the CSEA. He had been a member of the Holy Name Society of Our Lady of Assumption Church, a pastoral assistant, and assisted with baptismal, weddings and bereavement at the church. His volunteerism to the church also included teaching faith formation at the church and at St. John the Evangelist Church, where he was a communicant. Marge is the daughter of Reynold O. and Dorothy J. Behm. she was born in Middletown, Conn., on June 21, 1933, the oldest of three sisters. She graduated from Roger Ludlow High School in Fairfield, Conn. and attended Bridgeport Hospital School of Nursing and Butler Business School. She married Frederic J. Rehl on June 23, 1956 in Bridgeport, Conn. She moved to N.Y. State in 1961 where she was in business with her husband on a dairy farm in Stone Arabia for 12 years before moving to Schoharie County in 1973. Agricultural and social societies were among her favorite activities. She was a member of the Montgomery and Schoharie County Dairy Princess program and the Schoharie County Farm Bureau where she served as the office manager for several years. She served for the Cornell Cooperative Extension of Schoharie County on the home economics committee. Marge was an active member of the Richmondville/Cobleskill Lions Club, serving as treasurer and received the Lion of the Year award in 1991 and she was a knight of the blind. Marge was also a volunteer for Bassett Hospital of Schoharie County Auxiliary and the COMPEER program. She worked for several years in the insurance industry and was also a program assistant for the United States Department of Agriculture for 25 years. Marge was a member of the Lawyersville Reformed Church. She was an avid gardener and won the Schoharie Valley Garden Club Home Garden of the Month award. Sinnott, 85, of No. Main St., died Wednesday, October 6, 2004 at her son's home after a brief illness. She was born on February 8, 1919 in Ossining, N.Y., daughter of the late Roy and Lydia Banham Weeks. She was predeceased by her husband, William J. Sinnott, who died June 27, 1998; a daughter, Baby Girl Vivian Sinnott; a son, James J. Sinnott; a brother, George Weeks; and a sister, Dorothy Grant. Mrs. Sinnott worked as a deputy sheriff in Westchester County for several years before moving to Saratoga County in 1962. After moving to the area, Mrs. Sinnott and her husband operated the IGA supermarket in Malta for a short time and then co-owned and operated the Hutch Restaurant and Tavern on Route 9 in Malta for seven years before retiring in 1972. They then moved to Fla. before returning in 1985. Mrs. Sinnott was a member of the Mechanicville Senior Citizens and was a member of the United Methodist Church in Mechanicville. Her greatest joy was her family whom she spent much of her time with after returning to the area. Survivors include her son, William (Dawn) L. Sinnott of Mechanicville; and a brother, Orson Babe Warren. She is also survived by four grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews and her caretaker, Donna Martin who gave much of her time to Vivian to help her through her toughest times. Tompkins, 79, went home to be with our Lord on Thursday, September 23, 2004. Born in Albany, N.Y., Charles was the son of the late Charles W. and Margaret (Mahar) Tompkins. Mr. Tompkins served as corporal in the U.S. Army from 1942 to 1945 as a machine gun commander with the 1st Infantry Division in Europe, earning five battle stars, the Purple Heart, Bronze Arrowhead and Presidential Citation for the Normandy Invasion and the Belgium Four-a-Buerre for the Battle of the Bulge, from the King of Belgium. He was a sales representative for the Gillette Company for 15 years, a manufacturer's representative in the sporting goods industry, covering New York and the New England states and then worked for Drew Buick until his retirement in 1986. He was a life member of the D.A.V. and a member of the Elks Lodge. The beloved father of Patricia O'Malley and her husband Joseph, Nancy Hoffman and her husband Edward and Diane Murray and her husband William.
