Baisden, 89, of Albany, died Sunday, September 19, 2004 at Stratton VA Medical Center, Albany, after a long illness. Born and educated in Watervliet, he was the son of the late Elmer L. and Eliza Ayers Baisden. A veteran of World War II, he served in the U.S. Army in North Africa and Europe. Mr. Baisden was a locomotive engineer with the former Delaware & Hudson Railroad in the passenger and freight divisions for 37 years, retiring in 1976. He was a 45 year member of Evening Star Masonic Lodge, Latham. Survivors include his sisters, Laura Murphy of Albany and Lois (Harold) Jackson of Watervliet; his brother, Lewis H. (Norma) Baisden of Watervliet; and several nieces and nephews. Private funeral servicers were held at the convenience of the family. Behan CSJ, Sister Marie LATHAM Sister Marie Behan, CSJ, formerly known as Sister Margaret Catherine, died on Monday, September 20, 2004 at St. Joseph's Provincial House, Latham, N.Y. Sister was born in Glens Falls, N.Y., the daughter of the late Leroy and Margaret O'Leary Behan. She was in the 58th year of her life as a sister of St. Joseph of Carondelet. Sister Marie was a graduate of St. Mary's Academy, Glens Falls and received a bachelor's degree in education and a master's degree in history from the College of Saint Rose, Albany. She also earned credits in clinical pastoral education at Mercy Hospital, Springfield, Mass. Sister taught in schools of the dioceses of Albany and Syracuse including St. Peter's, Saratoga Springs, St. Joseph's, Troy and St. Vincent De Paul, Syracuse. She served in the Pastoral Care Department of St. Clare's Hospital, Schenectady and as parish minister in St. Patrick's Parish, Binghamton. Sister Marie is survived by a sister and brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. (Marjorie) Leon Layden of Hudson Falls and several nieces and nephews. The funeral will take place on Thursday, September 23 at 10 a.m. in Our Lady Queen of Virgins Chapel at St. Joseph's Provincial House, Latham. RENSSELAERVILLE Agnes L. Boehlke, 92, formerly of Ravena, died Sunday, September 19, 2004 at St. Peter's Hospital. Agnes was born in Coeymans, daughter of the late Peter and Mary Louise Sorell. She was a housewife and a communicant of St. Patrick's Church, Ravena. Agnes was predeceased by her husbands, Paul H. Boehlke and George E. Boehlke. Survivors include her children, Marie Ritzel of Fla., Louise (Alfred) Irwin of Ravena, Peter (Fran) Boehlke of Alcove, Orville (Shirley) Boehlke of Ravena, Patricia LaQuire of Rensselaerville and Paul (Bonnie) Boehlke of S.C.; 21 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren. Twiss Bulan, 85, of Ball Street, died on Tuesday, September 21, 2004 at her residence under the care of Community Hospice of Rensselaer County. Born March 1, 1919 in Albany, N.Y., she was the daughter of the late Elwood and Irene Howe Twiss. She was the wife of the late John S. Bulan who died on April 15, 2000. Evelyn was a graduate of East Greenbush High School and worked as a welder during World War II. She also was employed by the New York State Department of Motor Vehicles as an insurance clerk for over 15 years. Mrs. Bulan enjoyed traveling especially to the Middle East and throughout the United States. She was a member of the North Pownal Congregational Church and enjoyed playing the piano. Survivors include her two sons, Rev. Gary C. (Margaret) Rogers, with whom she resided, Rev. Ronald F. (Donna) Rogers of Richmond, Va.; her stepchildren, Barbara Mooney of Clifton Park, Elizabeth Kendgia of Madison, Wis., Clark Bulan of Castleton; daughter-in-law, Brenda Rogers of Albany; four boys she raised with her family, Richard, George, Robert and Michael Zipp; a sister, Irene Bingham of East Nassau; her grandchildren, Tracy (David) Regimbald, Shawn (Alison) Rogers, Rev. Mrs. Casale was educated in St. Mary's School and was a graduate of Catholic Central High School, class of 1953. Prior to her retirement, she was employed by Rensselaer County, Bureau of Finance for over 20 years. Marie was a communicant of St. Mary's Church and a member of St. Mary's Altar Rosary Society, a member of United Public Service Employees Union #424, and was an avid reader to her grandchildren, a museum visitor, and most of all, she was totally devoted to her family. Survivors in addition to her husband Nick, include her four daughters, Joanne (David) Bonesteel of Brunswick, Mary Robinson of Loudonville, Maureen (Mario) Mainella of Colonie and Donna (Gennaro) Sposito of Latham. She was the grandmother of Alyssa Bonesteel, Lauren and Kyle Robinson, Francesca and Stefano Mainella and Adriana and Lena Sposito; she was the sister of James P. Mr. Clark was born in Watertown, N.Y. and was a World War II veteran serving in the Navy. He retired from NCR after 43 wonderful years of being a service district manager in 1989. Lee spent his last years very actively, dancing at least three times a week with his wife and spending much time with his family. He was predeceased by his parents, Lee D. and Helen (LaPatra) Clark. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Lillian B. (Brown) Clark of East Greenbush; two daughters, Candace A. (Calvin) Gnage of El Campo, Texas, Cheryl A. (Bob) Martel of Voluntown, Conn.; two brothers, Graydon Clark of Banning, Calif. and Jerry Austin of Watertown. Lee was very close to his grandchildren, Pamela (Mike) Bailey, Angel (DJ), Kyle and Kimberly. He always was delighted to have four wonderful great-grandchildren, Kaylee Nason, Owen Stone, Cody Stone and Trevor Bailey. Although Lee himself is not with us today, his heart, soul and memories will be with all of us forever. Walter Henry Grimmick, 81, of 163rd Place West and formerly of Waterford, died Friday, September 17, 2004 at Oregon Health & Science University Hospital in Portland, Ore. Born and educated in Troy, he was son of the late William and Anna McGraw Grimmick. He had moved to Washington 15 years ago. A truck driver, Walt had been employed for 20 years at the Grand Union Co. in Waterford and retired in 1987. Prior to that, he was employed at Mintzer Petroleum in Troy. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army Air Corps and served during World War II with the 101st Airborne Division. He was a charter member of the Troy Rod & Gun Club. While a resident of Waterford, he was a communicant of St. Mary of the Assumption Church. He was husband of Barbara Lampartet Grimmick and the late Mary Fletcher Grimmick. He was father of Sharon Ann Brazell and her husband Daniel of Clifton Park, Daniel W. Grimmick and his wife Noreen of Clifton Park and Kim Shepard and her husband Paul of Newtonville. He was brother of John Grimmick of Troy, his twin, Henry Walter Grimmick of Schaghticoke and Fla., the late William and James Grimmick, Eleanor Miner, Betty Jane O'Brien and Marion Spiak; seven grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews also survive. She was the wife of Richard J. Irwin for 61 years. Born and educated in North Adams, she was the daughter of the late John and Rhoda Greene. She was a graduate of the North Adams State Teachers College. She was a resident of Latham since 1943. Mrs. Irwin was an elementary school teacher in South Royalston (grades 1-4), later in the North Adams school district. She was a substitute elementary school teacher in the North Colonie school district, retiring in the late 1950s. She was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church in Latham where she was a former Sunday School teacher and member of the church choir. She was also a member of Mended Hearts of Albany. Besides her husband, she is survived by her daughter, Heather Irwin of Latham; her sister, Ruth Jayne of Williamstown, Mass.; brother and sister-in-law, Charles and Barbara Irwin of Poestenkill; nieces, Judy McManama, Carol Dolan, Jane Thompson, Elva Lewis, Betty Mancusco, Janice Irwin and Joyce Hickey; and her nephew, Steven Irwin. Charlotte J. Lauver, of Columbus, passed away September 18, 2004 at home with family. She was 75 years young. Born in Almond, Wis., she was predeceased by her husband, Marvin. She is survived by her sister, Jean Smith of Waupaca, Wis.; her son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Deb Lauver of Cambridge, N.Y.; and her daughter and son-in-law, Lee and Tim Simmons, with whom she lived in Columbus. Many friends and family lovingly called her Maude, including her six grandchildren, Meghan, Kyle, Ross, Molly, Jaimee, Tim and Tim's wife, Deb. While living in Guilderland, Maude was employed as a bookkeeper by Pearl Grant-Richmans, Stuyvesant Plaza, Albany, N.Y. In order to satisfy her need to be around people of all ages, Maude chose to spend her retirement working at the local high school. Maude touched the lives of everyone she knew and her boundless enthusiasm for life, family, friends, food, bingo, dogs and sports, especially baseball, football and the Green Bay Packers, will be forever missed. Born in Simpson, Pa., he was the son of the late Andrew and Mary Lescinski. Joseph was a graduate of Fell High School in Simpson. He attended St. Thomas College in Scranton, Pa. from 1935-36 and St. Bonaventure College from 1939-40. Joseph married Lucy Abate in 1941 at St. Gregory's Church in NYC (Manhattan). He served in the U.S. Army Infantry from 1941-1945 where he attained the rank of 1st lieutenant. After World War II, he and his family settled in Albany. Joseph worked for 20 years at Textile and eventually became co-owner and also worked for 15 years at G.E. in Schenectady as a welder. Mr. Lescinski welded tanks at Alcoa from 1951-54 for the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was a longtime usher and parishioner at St. Pius X Catholic Church in Loudonville. He is survived by his wife Lucy Lescinski of Colonie; his son, Joseph F. Lescinski of Nesconset, N.Y.; and his daughters, Ann Lescinski Akins of Portland Ore. and Sister Joan Lescinski, CSJ of Terre Haute, Ind. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, Rick, Mike, and Brian Akins, Kerry, Jamie, Matt and Tai Lescinski and five great-grandchildren, Nicholas, Ashley, Kelsey and Tyler Akins, and Riley Spaulding. Ida loved to knit and always put her family first in life. She was the wife of the late Joseph H. Miller who died in 1974 and whom she married in France in 1945. Loving mother of Beverly K. Miller (John A. Miller Jr.) of Colonie, Lynette J. Fuegmann of Greenville and Michael J. Miller of Albany; grandmother of Cheryl Lynn LaFrenier, Jennifer Packard, Richette Cleary, Crystal Miller, Michael J. Born on February 7, 1968 in Albany, he was the son of Robert and Ruth Niemitalo. Eric was a graduate of Saratoga Springs High School. He loved the outdoors and was studying to become a geologist. He filled his life with music. He made friends easily and will be remembered for the laughter he brought to those he came in touch with. Eric will be missed by his family. Ordemann, 99, of Clifton Park, died September 20, 2004 at Wesley Health Care Center after a short illness. Born May 17, 1905 in Germany, the daughter of the late Henrich and Margarete Gerken. She was the wife of the late John Ordemann. Mrs. Ordemann had lived in Clifton Park for the past 13 years, previously of Selden, L.I. She had moved to the U.S. in 1923. She was a machine operator at Federal Hook and Eye in the Bronx for 20 years, retiring in 1970. Survivors include two sons, Harry Ordemann of Clifton Park and John and his wife Patricia Ordemann of Ballston Lake; two grandchildren, Dale and his wife Christine Ordemann and Karen and her husband Drew Armitage; four great-grandchildren, John Armitage and Kate, Megan and Tara Ordemann; several nieces and nephews. WATERVLIET David Joseph Walion Parker Jr., 21, died suddenly Sunday, September 19, 2004 in Utica, Kentucky. Born in St. Petersburg, Fla. on October 24, 1982, he moved to Watervliet in 1994 and was a 2001 graduate of Watervliet High School where he played on the football and basketball teams. He worked for the City of Watervliet at the parks and the pool. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy following September 11, 2001. He later attended the Art Institute in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. Presently, he was employed by Roberts Asphalt Co. in Owensboro, Ky. He loved to draw, enjoyed music, was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan and loved his sisters and brother. He was the son of David J. (Vicky) Parker Sr. of Utica, Ky. and Colleen (Joe) Longtin of Delmar; adopted son of James (Diane Boyea) Walion of Delmar and Mary Alice Walion (Carl) Lynch of Brunswick; brother of Bridget (Dion) Darmetko of Cohoes, Kelly (Joe Richards) Parker of Worcester, N.Y., Kathleen Parker MacMillan of Schuylerville, Colleen Parker MacMillan of Victory Mills, Jonathan Walion of Watervliet, Sarah Nicholas Walion of Brunswick; uncle of Dion and Erin Darmetko, Lillith Bessette and Jenna Elise Olmert; family friend of Donna and John Grabowski of Worcester, N.Y. Wrobel, 86 of Kaydeross Park Road, Saratoga Springs, died on September 20, 2004 at Pasadena, Calif. after a battle with prostate cancer. He was born in Bridgeport, Conn. on August 27, 1918, son of the late Peter and Veronica (Lorenc) Wrobel. At an early age his family moved to Cohoes, N.Y. where he completed his education. He was a veteran of World War II where he served in the US Navy from 1941 to 1945 as a member of the original Navy Seabees Construction Battalion, Island X 10 in the South Pacific Theater. He moved to Saratoga Springs in 1958 where he became co-owner of Kaydeross Beach and Amusement Park which he managed with his wife, Gen, until its sale in 1987. He was a life member of the Saratoga/Wilton Benevolent Protective Order of Elks Lodge #161 and Navy Seabee Veterans of America, Island X 10, Albany, N.Y. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his sisters, Viola Rochminski of Albany, N.Y., Josephine Kupiec, Schenectady, N.Y. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 58 years, Josephine (Gen) Wrobel; his son, W. Gregory Wrobel and his wife Judy of Saratoga Springs and daughter, Amelia Lamb and her husband David of Pasadena, Calif.; five grandchildren, Joshua Wrobel of North Hollywood, Calif., Stephen Lamb, Jennifer Lamb and Anna Lamb of Pasadena, Calif. and Emma Wrobel of Saratoga Springs; one great-granddaughter, Aidan Wrobel of North Hollywood, Calif.; one niece, Christine Silverman, Schenectady, N.Y.
