Born in Bennington, she had lived most of her life in Troy and Watervliet and was the daughter of the late Edward and Ann Jabour Joseph. She was the wife of the late Francis J. Becker Sr. Loris had been a homemaker but had also worked for NYS Department of Tax and Finance. She enjoyed doing volunteer work. She was the mother of Francis Becker of Md., David Becker of Va. and Lester Henry of Ga.; also survived by many cousins. Folderman Behnke, 97, formerly of Hidley Road, North Greenbush, died Sunday, October 2, 2005 at Evergreen Commons in East Greenbush after a long illness. Born on the Bloomingdale Farm on Edwards Road in North Greenbush, she was the daughter of the late Marcus and Hattie Folderman and wife of the late Elmer H. Behnke. She had resided in North Greenbush most of her life. Mrs. Behnke was a homemaker and for many years worked with her husband logging at their saw mill on Old 56 Road in East Poestenkill. She was a lifelong member of the First Reformed Church of Wynantskill. Survivors include a daughter, Elsie Iwanowicz, also of Evergreen Commons, East Greenbush; six grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, several great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Benjamin, June Eva Speidel DELMAR June Eva Speidel Benjamin, 88, passed away on Friday afternoon, September 30, 2005 from heart failure at the St. Peter's Hospice Inn. She died the way she had wanted to, quickly, with little effort and no pain, thanks to the efforts of the staff at the Hospice. June married Richard E. Benjamin early and they spent many years together, living first on Spring Street in Albany and then on Killian Park in Colonie and finally on The Crossway in Elsmere. Richard passed away in 1981. They had two sons, John R. (Jack) Benjamin of Georgia and Joel W. Benjamin of Altamont, N.Y. Jack has a daughter, Stacy and a son, Mark and Joel has three children, Ian, Brian and Alexandra. June was predeceased by her brother, Richard, who had two daughters, Sandy and Bonnie, who live in Washington State. June had numerous grandchildren. June had a zest for life and loved to dance from the time she was a child until she had a stroke a few years ago and had to be placed in the Teresian House Nursing Home on Washington Avenue, Extension. She was a member of the Bethlehem Players, the Progress Club and both the United Methodist Church on Kenwood Avenue and the Reformed Church on Delaware Avenue. Subsequent to the death of her husband, June formed a long lasting relationship with William McGoey of Cranell Place in Elsmere. They lived separately but were very happy with each other's companionship for many years. William had two sons, Rick and Bill Jr. who have been close and loyal friends to June until she passed away on Friday. William predeceased her. Cistin, Charles RAVENA Charles Cistin, 85, passed away Sunday, October 2, 2005 at Albany Memorial Hospital due to Alzheimer's and lung congestion. His beloved family was at his bedside. Charles was born in Czechoslovakia, son of the late Frank and Josephine Cistin. He was a graduate of the University of Cincinnati. Charles was an Army veteran of World War II, attaining the rank of 1st lieutenant. He was employed for 25 years with General Electric in Schenectady as a designing engineer. In the 1970s, he owned and operated the Tally Ho Drive In for seven years in Ravena with his wife. Survivors include his beloved wife of 60 years, Shirley of Ravena; children, Janice (Clyde) Zunker of Tenn., Timothy Cistin of Rensselaer, Deborah (Eric) Hanson of Clifton Park and Joanne (Donald) Parker of Niskayuna; grandchildren, Donald and David Parker and Stacey and Kelsey Hanson. ALBANY Frank C. Jettner Jr., 69, died Sunday, October 2, 2005 at Childs Nursing Home after a long illness. Born in Lincoln, Neb., Mr. Jettner had been a resident of Albany for the past 40 years. He earned his master's degree in astronomy and was employed as a program analyst for the NYS Department of Transportation, retiring in 1997. Prior to his retirement, Frank was employed in the astronomy department at SUNY Albany and was owner/proprietor of Chili Franks Restaurant of Ontario St. Mr. Jettner is survived by his wife, Amalia Kott Jettner; two daughters, Susan K. Natoli (Robert) of Copaigue, N.Y. and Alicia A. Jettner of Canajoharie, N.Y.; brother of Eugene Jettner of Ariz. and Robert Jettner of Neb.; also survived by two grandchildren, Michael and Laura Natoli. Keller, Marguerite Peg SCHENECTADY Marguerite Peg Keller, 102, entered into eternal life October 2, 2005. It is well with her soul. Born in Livingston, N.Y., September 20, 1903, she was the only child of Clayton and Elizabeth Patten Miller. Peg moved from the farm to Schenectady as a young child, graduated from Spencer Business School, and was employed as a bookkeeper at Wallace Co. Department Store until she started raising her family in 1928. She also worked throughout the 1950s for the food concession service in GE Turbine Building. Peg was predeceased by her first husband, Grant E. Mount in 1948, by her second husband, Harold F. Keller in 1982, and by her stepson, Ret. Col. Bruce G. Keller in 2004. Surviving members of her family include a son, Joseph G. Mount and his wife Margaret (Peggy) of Clifton Park, N.Y.; daughter, Dora E. (Betty) Mount with whom she lived in Niskayuna; granddaughters, Kristin L. Mount, New York City, Susan L. Spencer and her husband Harvey; and great-granddaughters, Sarah M. and Jessica M. He was born on October 20, 1915 in Lynn, Mass., the son of the late Charles F. and Martha Magrane McCahill. Woods served in World War II as a lieutenant in the U.S. Navy. He was a graduate of Hotchkiss School and Harvard University where he received his B.A. and J.D. and he also received honorary degrees from both the Albany Medical College and Siena College. He retired from the legal department of General Electric after 26 years. He was an accomplished man serving in many community activities such as: president of Albany Medical Center Foundation, director and president of the Albany Boys' Club, trustee and chairman of Albany Medical College, president and trustee of the Hotchkiss School and trustee of Siena College. He served as a director of the State Bank of Albany and Kamyr Corp. Mike was a graduate of Averill Park High School, and of RPI, where he received a B.S. in mechanical engineering. He loved his job as director of engineering at the State University Construction Fund, which sadly, he had to retire early because of a degenerative brain disease. He then found happiness in attending Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Loudonville where he had been a member of the choir. Up until the later stages of his illness, he spent much of his free time fishing, waterskiing, downhill skiing, swimming, and woodworking. He had resided in Averill Park most of his life and was a 1967 graduate of Averill Park High School, a graduate of Russell Sage College and did his graduate work at Amherst College. Andy was a research scientist for the New York State Department of Health in Albany for 36 years. He was a member of Church of the Covenant in Averill Park and an avid fisherman, master craftsman in woodworking and an avid photographer.
