In the name of God Amen, I Jesse Mulford of the town of Watervliet, County of Albany and State of New York, do ordain and make this my last will and testament in the manner and form following. My executors shall my real and personal items as soon as may be after my decease and take out of the money arising from such sale, one thousand dollars, the interest of which shall go the support of my wife, Ann Mulford. The balance of such said shall be equally divided between my three sons and two daughters as in hereafter provided in said. Pasco Mulford shall have the old chest of Drawers, Sarah Amelia Mulford shall have two feather beds & bedding and my large Cherry table. Jesse Ames Mulford & Lewis James Mulford shall each have one feather bed and bedding. Lewis James shall have my small silver watch and Jesse Ames my large silver watch. Mary Elizabeth shall have one feather bed and bedding. Jesse Ames shall have the colt that my maer, Nab may have this coming Spring. Lewis James shall have the bay Horse colt that is now at James P. Noxon's in Stillwater, Saratoga County if it is nessary my executors may uphend the interest coming to my minor children for their benefit if it is not the principal with interest shall be paid to them at the age of twenty one. Sarah Amelia shall have my large looking glass. Jesse Ames Mulford and Lewis James Mulford shall be first to ??? that they choose at the age of eighteen years. Jesse Ames shall be sent to School till he is eighteen years of age. Ann Mulford, my wife, shall have my new baurow to fether beds and bedding and and one hundred dollars. I nominate constitute and appoint Philip Linabecker and Peter B. Noxon executors to this my last will and testament hereby revoking all other and former will by me at any time heretofore made. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the twenty seventh day of February one thousand eight hundred and forty six. Signed sealed published and declares by the said testator Jesse Mulford as and for his last will and and in the presence of us who have subscribed our names as witness there to in the presence of said testator, Ezekiel Pascho Mulford shall have my large bible and the balance of my household furniture & clothing shall be equally divided between my five children by my executors Signed: Jesse Mulford His Mark Witness: Selah Ireland, Watervliet Peter B. I Selah Ireland of the town of Watervliet in the county of Albany being first duly sworn in open court doth dispose and say that he is a subscribing witness to the instrument now shown to herein purporting to the last will and testament of Jesse Mulford of the town of Watervliet in the county of Albany that the said Jesse Mulford did in the presence of this deponent subscribe his name at the end of the instrument which is now shown and exhibited to this deponent as aforesaid and which purports to be my last will and testament of the said Jesse Mulford and which bears the date on the 27th day of February in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty six and that ??? present, further saith that the said Jesse Mulford, the said testator, did at the said time of subscribing his name as aforesaid at the end of the said will declare the said instrument so subscribed and now exhibited to be his last will and testament and this deponent did thereupon subscribe his name at the end of the said last will as an attesting witness thereto and at the request of the said testator and this deponent further saith that at the said time when the said testator subscribed his name to the said last will as aforesaid and at the time of the deponents subscribing his name as an attesting witness thereto as aforesaid the said Jesse Mulford was of sound mind and memory of full age to execute a will and was not under any restraint to the knowledge information or belief of this deponent and further this deponent saith that after said will was executed by said testator, and subscribed by the witnesses, it was delivered by said testator to Peter B. Noxon, one of the subscribing witnesses for safe keeping until after the death of said testator and further saith not. Sworn and Subscribed this 15th Day of April 1846 before me (signed) Selah Ireland A. Blanchard Surrogate County of Albany. I Peter B. Noxon of the town of Nickaunia in the county of Schenectady being first duly sworn in open court doth dispose and say that he is a subscribing witness to the instrument now shown to him purporting to the last will and testament of Jesse Mulford of the town of Watervliet in the county of Albany, that the said Jesse Mulford did in the presence of this deponent subscribe his name at the end of the instrument which is now shown and exhibited to this deponent as aforesaid and which purports to be the last will and testament of the said Jesse Mulford and which bears date on the 27th day of February in the year of our Lord one thousand Eight hundred and forty six- and the deponent further saith that the said Jesse Mulford the said testator did at the said time of subscribing his name as aforesaid at the end of the said will declare the said instrument so subscribed and now exhibited to be his last will and testament and this deponent did thereupon subscribe his name at the end of the said will as an attesting witness thereto and at the request of the said testator and this deponent further saith that at the said time when the said testator subscribed his name to the said last will as aforesaid at at the time of the deponents subscribing his name subscribing his name as an attesting witness thereto as aforesaid the said Jesse Mulford was of sound mind and memory of full age to execute a will and was not under any restraint to the knowledge information or belief of this Deponent and further this Deponent saith as soon as said will was executed and attested by the witnesses thereto, it was delivered to this deponent for safe keeping by the said testator, and that said will was safely and securely kept by this deponent until after the death of said Jesse Mulford & until on or about this third of April instant when it was delivered by Deponent to Philip Linabecker and executor named therein and further said that said will is now the same in all respects as when first received by deponent from testator. (signed) A. Blanchard Surrogate Additional Comments: Jesse Mulford was born 06 JAN 1796, Watervleit,Albany County, New York. His parents were Ezekiel Mulford and Sally Ames. He was 1st married to Mary Ann Noxon, daughter of Pasco Noxon and Eleanor Bogardus, born 17 MAR 1789, died 29 DEC 1838, Watervleit,Albany County. All children listed in the will are children of Mary Ann Noxon. Jeese Mulford and Mary Ann Noxon Mulford are buried in The Old Methodist Burying Ground near the Shakers, Watervleit Center, Albany County, New York. His 2nd wife Ann Ireland Gardner Mulford died 20 JAN 1883 and is buried at Sunset Cemetery, Manhattan, Riley County, Kansas.
