I Storm Slingerland of the town of Bethlehem in the County of Albany in the state of New York being weak in body but of sound mind and memory and blessed be God for the same do make and publish this my last will and testament in manner following. that is first I do recommend my soul to God who gave it and my body to the Earth to be buried in a Christian manner in hopes of a resurection (sic) from the dead and a glorious immortality beyound (sic) the grave and as touching this worldly good whereof it hath pleased God to bless me with. I do give in manner following that is to say First I do give and bequeath to my beloved wife Freelove Slingerland the one half of all my household furnature (sic) and the dower right of my homested? farm during her natural life or so long as she remains my widow. 2nd I do give and bequeath to my oldest son Jaret Slingerland two dollars to be paid him in one year after my decease 3rd I do give and bequeath to my oldest daughter Mary Arnold married woman two dollars to be paid her in one year after my decease 4th I do give and bequeath to my second daughter Axelbard? twelve dollars to be paid her in one year after my decease 5th I do give and bequeath to my third daughter Elizabeth Arnold two dollars to be paid her in one year after my decease. 6th I do give and bequeath to my fourth daughter Cornelia Waggoner two dollars to be paid her in one year after my decease. 7th I do give and bequeath to my fifth daughter Eve Keller two dollars to be paid her in one year after my decease. 8th I do give and bequeath to my second son Teunis S. Slingerland two dollars to be paid him in one year after my decease 9th I do give and bequeath to my sixth daughter Lanah Elwood two dollars to be paid her in one year after my decease. 10th I do give and bequeath to my seventh daughter Sarah Ward two dollars to be paid her in one year after my decease. 11th I do give and bequeath to my eighth daughter Hannah Slingerland and to my ninth daughter Lyia (sic) Ann Slingerland fifty dollars each to be paid them when they shall arive (sic) to the age of twenty one years or sooner if they shall marry before that time and I do give and bequeath to my two daughters Hannah and Lyia (sic) Ann Slingerland the one half of all my house hold furnature to be equally divided between them after my decease. 12th I do give and bequeath my youngest son John S. Slingerland six hundred dollars to be paid him when he shall arrive to the age of twenty one years and I do give and bequeath to my son Teunis S. Slingerland one hundred and forty eight dollars more to be paid him when my son John shall arive to the age of twenty one years and I do further order and devise that my executors herein after mentioned? first to sell the wood lot on the rock in one year after my decease or sooner if it can be sold to good advantage for the ? of my estate and ? and they may sell that lot either at public or private sale as may be most convenient and to take up the old lease at the office and let the purchaser take a new lease from the office and it is my will and pleasure that my executors herein after named have the charge of my homested? farm if the same is not sold before until my son John shall become of the age of twenty one years and it is my will and pleasure that after the death of my wife that all the remaining part of my property be equally divided between all my heirs as above named and it is my will and pleasure that the before mentioned gifts be to my three sons and nine daughters and to their heirs and assigns and I do hereby appoint Jacob N. Slingerland Salmon Jones and Teunis Houghtaling sole Executors of this my last will and testament hereby revoking all former wills by me made in witness whereof I hereunto set my hand and seal this second day of December in the year of our Lord one thousand Eight hundred and thirty one.
