1839 lease Clark HENDERSON to Joseph GILBERT land in Cuba, N.Y.

  Cuba, N.Y. Lease or Deed for land- 3 July 1839

Clark Henderson to Joseph Gilbert
This Indenture made this 3 day of July 1839 between Clark Henderson of the
town of Cuba County of Allegany & State of New York of the party of the first
part and Joseph Gilbert and Abigail Gilbert his Wife of the same place of the
other part Witnesseth That the Said party of the first part for and in
consideration of the Sum of twenty eight dollars, to him in hand paid by the
said parties of the Second part the receipt whereof is hereby a Acknowledged
hath and by these   presents does remise grant & to __?__ let unto the said
parties of the second part all that Certain piece or parcel situated, lying
and being in the town of Cuba in said county being part and parcel of lot
Number 40 in Said Town Bounded as follows, Beginning at the North West Corner
of lands articled to the party of the first part by the Holland Land Company
on the town line between Cuba and New Hudson thence south Seven Rods- South to
a point, Thence East & Parallel with the North bounds of said Lot to the
center of the road about twenty rods, Thence south thirteen Rods, to a point
Thence East & parallel with the North bounds of Said Lot to a post (so far as
by a line North to the North bounds & from thence West to the place of
beginning   would  Contain Eleven Acres) Thence North to the North bounds of
Said Lot Thence West on Said North bounds of said lot to the place of
beginning containing seven acres) thence North to the North bounds Of Said lot
Thence West on Said North bounds of Said lot to the place of beginning
containing Eleven acres.) To have and to Hold the said lot of Land  with the
appurtenances unto the Said parties of the Second part from the date here of
for and during the Natural lives of the said parties of the second part & the
longest lives of them and that this lease shall not and untill the parties of
the Second part Shall each be deceased and the party of the first part for
himself, his heirs, executors, administrators and assigns that the said
parties of the second part shall have & hold and peaceably enjoy the said
premisis for &  during their Natural lives as aforesaid without any assumption
or molestation of the said party of the first part.

Allegany County } On this 3rd day of July 1839 personally appeared before me
Samuel M. Russell a commissioner of Deeds in & of Said County the above named
Clark Henderson well known to me to be the person who executed the within
Lease & acknowledged that he Executed the same for the  mpous therein
contained S.M. Russell
