Sisson . Mrs. H. B. Milward is spending sometime with Mr. Milward in Buffalo. . Mrs. C. E. Hurd of Hornell has been spending several days in Alfred. . George Crawford of Cameron Mills, was in Alfred the last of the week. . Mrs. A. H. Clarke is visiting her daughter in Corning and son at Fayetteville. . Mrs. W. H. Cossum and daughter Catherine left Monday for their home in Chicago. . A daughter was born to Mr. and Mrs. Milo Moland Aug. 15th. Congratulations. . Mrs. H. D. Eaton of Independence has been a guest of her sister Mrs. (?) Beckwith. . Be sure and hear the talk about Mrs. DeWitt at the Parish House on her work in Persia. . Ground has been broken for a new tennis court west of Ladies Hall on the old garden lot. . Daniel B. Rogers of Rochester is spending the weekend with friends in town. . Miss Vida Karr, Alfred, '11, of Wellsville will teach a colored mission school in Tennessee. . Mr. and Mrs. E. E. Breckwith attended the Crandall reunion at Wellsville last Wednesday. . A party of six motored from Waterport Sunday and spent the day at W. L. Langworthy's . Mrs. Elizabeth Anderson and niece, Marian Dubois, have returned from a week’s visit in Cortland. . Mrs. C. D. King, and two daughters, Dorothy and Ellen of Wellsville are visiting their parents Mr. and Mrs. D. G. Abbott. . The examination and ordination to the ministry of Ira Goff are to take place at Alfred Station next Sabbath Aug. 21st . . Jerome Davis was in Arkport Monday to secure a house in which to live next year as he is to be principle of the school there. . John Abbott of Roulette, Pa and Mrs. Maria Pratt and daughter Mabel Pratt of Milwaukee, Wis. are visiting their brother on Elm Street. . Milo Moland has moved into his new house on his farm, the old one having burned in the spring. He has a very neat and commodious house. . Mr. and Mrs. N. F. Allen and daughter, Vivian of Ann Arbor, Mich. Are welcomed guests at the home of their parents Mr. and Mrs. J. Allen.
