Died 3 March 1891, Angelica. Recorded 13 March 1891. Record of the Will of CHARLES d’AUTREMONT In the name of god, Amen. I CHARLES d’AUTREMONT of the town of Angelica, Allegany and state of New York being of sound mind and memory and considering the uncertainty of this frail and transitory life, do then fore make ordain, publish and declare this to be my last Will and Testament, that is to say: First: After all my lawful debts are paid and discharged, I give and bequeath to my wife SARAH C. d’AUTREMONT, MARY d’AUTREMONT my daughter and CHARLES d’AUTREMONT JUNIOR now living in Duluth, State of Minnesota my property in the following manner: First: I give to my wife SARAH C. d’AUTREMONT the Real Estate which I won in the town of Angelica in the County of Allegany and state of New York together with all the furniture, silver plate, plated ware, pictures and all articles in the house where I reside also all the personal property consisting the hay, grain, cows, carriages, buggies, harness, horse and products of the farm not intending any money, notes or debts due me or any bonds or mortgages. The rest of my personal estate consisting of notes, bonds, mortgages and money in hand or on deposit I desire divided into four shares of equal value which I give and bequeath as follows: Two shares to my daughter MARY d’AUTREMONT and one share to my wife SARAH C. d’AUTREMONT and one share to my son CHARLES d’AUTREMONT Junior now of Duluth in the state of Minesota as I consider that I have advanced and given my son CHARLES d’AUTREMONT Junior sufficient monies from time to time to make his share equal to what I give to my daughter MARY d’AUTREMONT. I do not include in the share to my son CHARLES d’AUTREMONT Junior a certain mortgage of three thousand dollars dated April 2, 1890 given by said CHARLES d’AUTREMONT Junior to LOUIS ROUCHLEAN and also another mortgage of five hundred dollars given by said CHARLES d’AUTREMONT Jr April 2nd 1890 to LOUIS ROUCHLEAN and which mortgages are assigned to me by said LOUIS ROUCHLEAN. These mortgages are to be deducted from the share given to my son CHARLES d’AUTREMONT Junior unless said mortgages are paid before my death. The Real Estate which I give to my to my (sic) wife SARAH C. d’AUTREMONT is to satisfy her for all claim she may have against me for monies which I owe to her. It is my will that no money here before paid or given by me to for or on account of my wife, daughter, or son is to be considered as an ?...cement nor are they or either of them to be liable for my estate for any sum of sums that may be charged against them or either of them on any of my account Books or that I have heretofore given, paid or advanced to them or either of them. Likewise, I make, constitute and appoint my wife SARAH C. d’AUTREMONT of Angelica, Allegany County and State of New York and MARY d’AUTREMONT, my daughter, of the same place and CHARLES d’AUTREMONT of Duluth, Minnesota to be my executors of this my last Will and Testament hereby revoking all former wills by me made. In Witness Whereof I have hereunto subscribed my name and affixed my seal the thirteenth day of September in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and ninety. CHARLES d’AUTREMONT (L.S.) The above written instrument wa subscribed by the said Charles d’Autremont on our presence, and acknowledged by him to each of us; and he at the same time declared the above instrument, as subscribed, to be his last Will and Testament: and we at his request have signed our names as witnesses hereto, in his presence and in the presence of each other, and written opposite our name our respective places of residence.
