NY Will Book Vol. 15 page 674 Record of the Will of Waters B. Coats Last Will and testament. I Watrous B. Coats of the town of Wellsville, County of Allegany and state of New York, do make, ordain, publish and declare this to be my last Will and testament, in manner and form following, that is to say: First - I direct the payment of my just debts, if any. Second - I give, devise and bequeath unto my beloved wife Ida Coats all of my Real and personal property of every kind and nature and to have and to hold the same to do with as she choses until my son Hiram Coats becomes twenty one years of age. I then given and devise and bequeath to my son one fourth of the Property - Real and personal that is left and remains out of my property and estate and heretofore used by my said wife but this last devise and bequest to my son Hiram Coats is in no way or manner to interfere or hinder my said wife in using and disposing of any or all of my property as she sees fit up to the time of my said son becoming of age. Likewise, I make, constitute and appoint my said wife to be the executrix of this, my last Will and testament, hereby revoking all former Wills by me made she to give no bond. In Witness whereof, I have hereunto subscribed my name and affixed my seal, the 15 day of May, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and ninety-nine. Waters B. Coats We, whose names are hereto subscribed, do certify that Watrous B. Coats, the testator, subscribed his name to this instrument in our presence, and in the presence of each of us, and at the same time he declared in our presence and hearing that the same was his last Will and testament, and requested us and each of us, to sign our names thereto as witnesses to the execution thereof, and which we hereby do in the presence of the testator and of each other, this 15 day of May 1899, the day of the date of the said Will and write opposite our respective places of residence. State of New York Allegany County Surrogate's Office Be It Remembered, That on the day of the date hereof, the Last Will and Testament of Waters B. Coats, late of the town of Wellsville in the County of Allegany and State of New York, deceased, being the within and foregoing written instrument, was duly proved before S. McArthur Norton, Surrogate of the said County, according to law as and for the Last Will and Testament of the real and personal estate of the said deceased, which said Last Will and Testament, and the proofs and examinations taken thereon, are recorded in this office. In Testimony Whereof. The Surrogate of the said County hath hereunto set his hand and affixed his seal of office, this Seventeenth day of May A. D. 1901. S. M.
