[now] of the Town of Alfred living unable to labour, to acquire a comfortable support any longer, having through the blessing of God in my possession many goods -- to the amount of Five hundred and fifty Dollars to dispose of to procure further subsistence during my natural life, and for the benefit of my Heirs respectively, and being now of sound mind and memory, thanks be given unto God, calling to mind the mortality of my body, and knowing that it is appointed for all men once to die; do make and ordain this my last Will and Testament, that is to say; Firstly it is my desire to dwell with my son Micah Haskins as long as it shall please God to continue my life on Earth, and that he should carefully provide for, and administer to, my necessities in every circumstance thereof. And secondly, it is my Will, and I do hereby give and bequeath unto my said son Micah, all my said money goods obligations --- of whatsoever name or nature belonging to me at my descease for the benefit of himself and his Heirs ~~ And thirdly in token of my regard for my other Heirs it is my Will that my said son Micah Haskins shall pay unto each of my sons or their Heirs (viz) Roswell Nathaniel Daniel & David One Dollar in money, and unto each of my Daughters, Eunice Clark and Dorcas Crane the like Sum for their respective shares of my Estate after my Decease. And lastly I nominate constitute and appoint my son Micah aforesaid Sole Executor of this my last Will and Testament, and I do hereby disallow, disannull and revoke all former Wills Testaments, Legacies, bequests and Executors heretofore made by me; In witness whereof I have hereunto Set my hand and seal this fifth Day of May in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and eighteen.
