15 children born to Edwin Charles and Caroline Elizabeth (Golden) Darrin.  
Merle died in Polyclinic Hosp., Harrisburg, Dauphin, PA.  He was married three 
times:  married first to Doris Elizabeth Rogers on 6/19/1934 in Brookland, 
Potter, PA, with whom he adopted one son - Edwin Jon Cornell; married second 
to Frances Myrtle Kuenn on 7/11/1948 in Franklinville, Cattaraugus,NY, with 
whom he had one son - Darrin Whitney Cornell; and married 3rd to Cecil 
(Rogers) Norton (sister of first wife) on 1/3/1974 in Harrisburg, PA.
