Culver, late of the town of Ledyard in the County of Cayuga, now deceased, that the said said infant is of the age of eleven years, on the Seventeenth day of September last past; that the said infant is legally entitled to certain real and personal estate and that she now resides in the town of Ledyard in the County of Cayuga; and that it is necessary that some proper person should be appointed Guardian to the said infant on account of her tender age; and in and by the said petition the said petitioner did pray that you might be appointed said Guardian: And we being desirous that the person and property of the said infant should be well and faithfully managed and attended to, do appoint you the said David White to be Guardian to the said infant, and do grant unto you by these presents full power and authority, to take proper and diligent care of the said infant person, education, estate and interest of every kind, for the profit and benefit of the said infant, until she shall arrive at the age of fourteen years, and until another Guardian shall be chosen in your place. And you the said David White are in all things to discharge the duties of a Guardian to the said infant according to the laws of this state; and to render a true account of your Guardianship when thereinto lawfully required. In testimony whereof, we have caused the seal of the office of our said surrogate to be hereinto affixed.
