The holdings are in bound vols in the Seymour Library, History Room, Auburn, N.Y. and it was abstracted mainly according to items of Genealogical interest in the Cayuga Co. & Auburn, N.Y. area. However it does contain items of world note at times. As you will see there are cross-references according to names & other items of historical interest. This newspaper was published at different times by Ulysses F. DOUBLEDAY (the father of Abner Doubleday) in Auburn, he owned it from 1819 to 1827, then bought back in, after coming back following his serving as a Congressman, (among other pursuits) in 1843, selling in 1846 to move westward, he died in Bloomington, Illinois, 11 March 1866 and is buried there. ************************************************************************ 1840-1847 NEWSPAPER INDEXES, CAYUGA, NEW YORK NAME B/M/D DATE DABOL, Miss Sarah M. & Oliver S.
