And your petitioner further shews that all the goods, chattels and credits of the said deceased do not exceed in value the sum of twelve hundred dollars Your petitioner therefore prays that she may be appointed administratrix & Giles LANDON and Elias ELY administrators of the goods, chattels and credits of the said deceased, and she will ever pray, &c. Sworn this 12th day of June[?] 1828, before me,} [signed] John Porter Surrogate In the Matter of the Personal Estate of Ezekiel LANDON decd Petition Filed June 12 1828 (Bond given by Administrator) Know all Men by these Presents, That we, Sarah LANDON Giles LANDON Elias ELY David HUSTED and Charles KENDALL of the town of Venice in the County of Cayuga are held and firmly bound unto the People of the State of New York, in the sum of two thousand Dollars Money of the United States: to be paid to the said People, to which payment well and truly to be made, we bind ourselves, and each of us, our, and each of our heirs, executors and administrators, jointly and severally, firmly by these presents, sealed with our seals, dated the twelfth day of June in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and twenty eight and of our independence the fifty The condition of this obligation is such, That if the above bounden Sarah LANDON administratrix & Giles LANDON and Elias ELY Administrators of all and singular the goods, chattels and credits of LANDON deceased, do make, or cause to be made, a true and perfect Inventory of all and singular the goods, chattels and credits of the said deceased, which have or shall come to the hands, possession or knowledge of the said Sarah, Giles and Elias or into the hands or possession of any other person or persons, for the said Sarah Giles & Elias and the same so made, do exhibit, or cause to be exhibited into the office of the surrogate of the county of Cayuga at or before the expiration of six calendar months from the date of the above written Obligation and the same goods, chattels and credits, and all other goods, chattels and credits of the said deceased, at the time of his death, which at any time after shall come to the hands or possession of the said Sarah, Giles and Elias or into the hands or possession of any other person or persons, for the said Sarah Giles and Elias do well and truly administer according to law: And further, when thereunto lawfully required, do make, or cause to be made, a just and true account of administration: And if it shall hereafter appear that any last Will and Testament was made by the said deceased, and the executor or executors therein named or any other person or persons, do exhibit the same, and request to have it allowed and approved, then if the said Sarah, Giles and Elias being thereunto required, do render and deliver the letters of Administration, granted on the estate of the said deceased, to the office from which the same were issued, then this Obligation to be void and of none effect, or else to remain in full force and virtue.
