First, I do bequeath and will unto Eldest Son, George Nicolls being in his twenty sixth year of his age, fifty acres land being part of Lot No. twenty-four, in the town of Locke lying in the Northwest corner of said Lot, beginning at the Northwest Corner of same Lot, thence south to the middle of the west line of said Lot, thence East so far as to contain fifty acres. Second, I do will and bequeath to my son Simon Nicolls, aged seventeen years the twenty-third day of last February fifty acres of land, being part of Lot No. twenty-four in the town of Locke bounded half the distance of the said Lot North and South and north on the north line of said Lot, west on Land willed to George Nicolls, and so far East as to contain fifty acres, and it is further my will, that my son Simon Nicolls have his time for his own benefit until he is of age, likewise that he the said Simon Nicolls pay one hundred dollars as soon as he is of the age of twenty-one years to my son John Nicolls, who is sole Executor of my estate, towards paying debts and performing other parts of this will. Third, I do will and bequeath to my son William Nicolls aged twelve years the fourth day of September last, fifty acres of Land being part of Lot No. twenty-four in the town of Locke, Bounded on the North line of said Lot South, half the distance through the said Lot, west on Land willed to my son Simon Nicolls, thence East so far as to contain fifty acres. Fourth, I do will and bequeath to my Daughter, Catharine Nicolls, aged nineteen years the eighteenth day of last May, two cows and one half of the housing furniture, and five sheep and Two hundred Dollars. Fifth, I do will and bequeath to my daughter, Anna Nicolls, aged fourteen years the twenty-sixth day of November last, one year old heifer, five sheep, and one half of the housing furniture, except one feather bed and bedding and two hundred dollars. Sixth, I do will and bequeath to my son John Nicolls, aged twenty-one years last May the twelfth fifty acres of Land being part of Lot No. twenty-four in the town of Locke bounded north and East by the lines of said Lot, and south by Patrick Monigham, west by Land willed to my son William Nicolls, containing fifty acres and all the residue of my personal estate and credits that are standing out, on his paying the several legacies herein after mentioned and before mentioned in this will, and also to pay all debts due from the estate. I do further will constitute and appoint my son John Nicolls the sole Executor of personal estate and lands as far as the law permits. First, I do will that my said Executor pay all debts due from my estate, Second, that my said Executor pay to my daughter Catharine Nicolls the several sums mentioned in this will; viz. two cows and half the housing furniture, within one month after my death if she wants it, and five sheep, the first day of September next, and one hundred dollars at the expiration of three years, and one hundred Dollars at the expiration of four years. I do further will that my said Executor pay the several sums willed to my daughter Anna Nicolls; viz. one yearling heifer and one half of the housing furniture, except one bed and bedding within one month after my death, and five sheep the first day of September next, and one hundred dollars six years after date, and one hundred Dollars eight years after date. I do further will that my said Executor furnish my son, Simon this winter cloaths and lining cloaths next summer, and to let him have his home at my now dwelling house when he comes from his labors, and let him have a colt if the mare has one, when it is fit to wean. I do further will that my said Executor take charge of my son William and provide for him in victuals and cloths and schooling as long as they can agree, and if it should so happen that William lives with my said Executor until he is twenty-one years old it is my will that my said Executor furnish him with a shift of cloath and one yoke of oxen. Be it remembered that on the twenty-third day of February in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and fourteen, personally appeared before me, Glen Cuyler, Surrogate of said County, Eliakim Sharp and being by me duly sworn did depose and on his oath declare, that he saw William Nicolls deceased sign, seal & deliver an Instrument in writing purporting to be the last Will and Testament of the said William Nicolls, bearing date the twenty third day of December in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred nine (the preceding whereof is a true copy) and heard him publish and declare the same as and for his last will & testament and that at the time thereof he was of sound disposing mind, memory, according to the best knowledge & belief of the deponent & that his name subscribed to the said will as a Witness, is of his own proper hand writing, which he subscribed thereto in presence of the Testator, & that he and Silas Bowker and Patrick Monagham subscribe their names as Witnesses to the execution of the said will in the testators presence.
