I Samuel Hawley considering the uncertainty of this mortal life, and being of sound mind and memory, blessed be Almighty God for the same, do make and publish this my last will and testament, in manner and form following. (That is to say.) First I give and bequeath unto my beloved wife Lydia Hawley all and singular my real and personal estate to her use during the time, she shall remain my widow. Item. To my daughter Olive Wilson I give and bequeath the Sum of one hundred dollars after my widow shall cease to be my widow. Item To my daughter Roxy Mott I give and bequeath the sum of One hundred dollars after my widow, shall cease to be my widow. To my four sons Charles, Ezra, Hiram and Alvey each an equal share that shall remain after deducting to each of my daughters One hundred dollars each paying any debts and funeral expenses. I furthermore will and bequeath that the share that falls to my son Charles the same shall be entailed to Daniel H. Hawley with this reserve that my son Charles shall have the use of the same during his life, and then to come into the full possession of the said Daniel H. Hawley. And my son Ezra's share I entail to William Hawley son of Ezra, with this reserve, that my son Ezra shall have the use of the same during his life, and at his deceased to come into the full possession of the said William Hawley. And furthermore the share that may fall to my son Hiram I entail the same to Samuel S. Mott with this reserve that my son Hiram shall have the use of same during his life, and then to come into the full possession of the said Samuel S. Mott. And lastly I hereby appoint my loving wife Lydia Hawley, Alvey Hawley and Edwin H. Whitney Executrix and Executors of this my last will and testament. Hereby revoking any former will by me made.
