Putman of the town of Cato County of Cayuga and State of New York of the age of seventy four years and upwards and being of sound mind and memory do make publish and declare this my last will and testament in manner following that is to say: First. I direct all just debts that I may be owing at the time of my decease and all funeral expenses to be paid in full. Second. I give and bequeath unto my dearly beloved wife Hannah the use of all the real estate of which I shall die seized for and during the time that she shall remain my widow, in case she the said Hannah shall survive me. Third. I give and bequeath unto my said wife Hannah all my household furniture and the interest of two thousand dollars payable to her yearly from the time of my decease, for & during the term of her natural life. Fourth. After the expiration of the aforesaid trust, I will and devise that a certain gore of land lying east of the Jordan and Cato Plank road and being in the North west corner of my son Sebastian G. Putman's land and sufficient to make said Sebastian G. Putman's North line a straight line from the Cross Lake to the Jordan and Cato Plank road shall go to my said son Sebastian G. Putman. Fifth. After the expiration of the trust first above mentioned I will and devise all the rest and residue of my real estate to my two sons John Putman & Charles Putman, that is to say to each of them an undivided half thereof, but I direct that no wood or timber shall be cut therefrom except for fire wood & for the use of the farm until my youngest said son Charles Putman shall arrive at the age of twenty one years. Sixth. I will & direct that the Burying Ground on my said farm being about four rods square with a right of way thereto from the Public Highway shall forever hereafter remain as such. Seventh. I give all my stock & farming tools & utensils unto my said wife Hannah to her sole and separate property. Eighth. I give unto my son Lewis Putman one thousand dollars to be paid to him as soon after my decease as the same can be realized out of my effects. Ninth. Then after the payment of the last legacy above mentioned, I give unto my son Isaac Putman one thousand dollars as soon as the same can be realized out of my effects. Tenth. Then after the payment of the last legacy above mentioned I give unto my son Peter Putman one thousand dollars as soon as the same can be realized out of my effects. Eleventh. Then after the payment of the last legacy above mentioned I give unto my son Jacob Putman one thousand dollars as soon as the same can be realized out of my effects. Twelfth. Then after the payment of the last legacy above mentioned I give unto my son David Putman two hundred dollars as soon as the same can be realized out of my effects. Thirteenth. I give unto my daughter Frances Matilda Lewis, one hundred dollars. Fourteenth. I direct my Executor hereafter named to enclose the Burying Ground above mentioned with a good and substantial stone fence. Fifteenth. The rest and residue of all the property of which I shall die seized I direct to be disposed of as follows: My said wife to have the use of during the term of her natural life, and after her decease, one hundred dollars thereof to go to my said son Sebastian G. Putman, one hundred dollars to go to my said son Lewis Putman, and the balance of any there shall be equally divided between my said three sons Isaac Putman, Peter Putman and Jacob Putman share and share alike. Sixteenth. And for the full & fair carrying out of this instrument according to its true intent & meaning I hereby nominate and appoint my two sons Sebastian G. Putman and John Putman Executors of this my last will and testament hereby ratifying and confirming all that they may lawfully do or cause to be done in the premises hereby revoking all former wills by me made.
