I Alfred Whitlock of the town of Victory county of Cayuga and State of New York, being of sound mind and memory and considering the uncertainty of this frail and transitory life, do therefore make ordain, publish and declare this to be my last Will and Testament that is to say, First: after all my lawful debts are paid and discharged, I give and bequeath unto my said wife all that my said message or tenement with the appurtenances situate in the town of Victory county of Cayuga and State of New York with the lands and hereditaments thereunto belonging and the rents, issues and profits therefor and during the term of her natural life and from after te decease of my said wife. I give and bequeath the said messuage or the tenement lands and hereditaments unto such child or children as I shall leave or have living at the time of her decease and to their heirs and assigns forever as tenants in common and if I shall have no such child or children &c then I give and deviede (&c) which legacy given to my said wife as aforesaid. I hereby declare is intended to be and is so given to her in full satisfaction and recompense of and as her dower and thirds which she may or can in any wise claim or demand out of my estate, the above property mentioned in this will after the decease of Elizabeth Whitlock is to be divided among the children after she has her support out of the said property. Likewise, I make constitute and appoint Henry V. Whitlock my executor to be executor or this my last Will and Testament hereby revoking all former Wills by me made.
