He was educated in the Jamestown Public Schools and was associated with the Erie Railroad Co. for 15 years serving in every branch of the railroad service. He married Ethel Walden November 24th, 1909 and they have one daughter, Helen. In 1919 he became owner and Manager of the Chautauqua Storage and Transfer Company and has an office at 509 W. 3rd St. He is Independent in politics, has been an active Lutheran and has practiced the Christian religion as a whole, at all times.
