Town of the County of Chautauqua and State of New York of the second part, Witnesseth, That the said party of the first part, for and in consideration of the sum of One Thousand dollars lawful money of the United States of America, to us in hand paid by the said party of the second part, the receipt whereof is hereby confessed and acknowledged, have granted, bargained, sold, remised, released, aliened conveyed and confirmed, and by these presents do grant, bargain, sell, remise, release, alien convey and confirm unto the said party of the second part, and to his heirs and assigns for ever, All that certain piece or parcel of land situated in the town of Arkwright, County of Chautauqua, and State of New York being part of lot No nineteen in the fifth township and eleventh Range, and is is bounded as follows. On the north by part of lot number twenty sixteen chains eighty three links on the east by part of lot number Eleven thirty nine chains forty six links and to lands deeded to Daniel Mathewson on the South by lands deeded to Daniel Mathewson sixteen chains eighty three links and to lands deeded to David Durfee and on the West by lands deeded to David Durfee thirty nine chains forty three links, and to the north bounds of said lot number nineteen. Containing sixty eight acres be the same more or less. Together with all and singular, the hereditaments and appurtenances thereunto belonging, or in anywise appertaining, and the reversion and reversions, remainder and remainders, rents, issues and profits thereof, and all the estate, right, title interest, dower claim or demand whatsoever, of the said party of the first part, either in Law or Equity, of, in, and to the above bargained premises, with the said hereditaments and appurtenances, To Have and to Hold the said premises, as above described, with the appurtenances, unto the said party of the second part, and to his heirs and assigns, for ever; and the said Francis A. Butterfield and Polly his wife for themselves their heirs, executors and administrators, do covenant, grant, bargain and agree to and with the said party of the second part, his heirs and assigns, that at the time of the ensealing and delivery of these presents they were well seized of the premises above conveyed, as of a good, sure, perfect, absolute and indefeasible estate of inheritance in the Law of Fee Simple: And that the above Bargained Premises, in the quiet and peaceable possession of the said party of the second part, his heirs and assigns, against all and every person or persons, lawfully claiming or to claim the whole or any part thereof, they will for ever Warrant and Defend. Butterfield and Polly his wife, and acknowledged that they had severally executed the within instrument. And the said Polly Butterfield on a private examination, apart from her husband, acknowledged that she executed the within instrument freely, and without any fear or compulsion of her husband. And I further certify, that I know the person who made the said acknowledgement to be the individual described in, and who executed the within instruments.
