All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/ny/nyfiles.htm Submitted Date: May 5, 2006 This file has been created by a form at http://www.genrecords.org/nyfiles/ File size: 4.2 Kb ************************************************ Lot 13, Arkwright, Chautauqua, NY Written: April 24, 1865 Recorded: May 19, 1865 This Indenture, Made the Twenty fourth day of April in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and sixty five Between Aaron Town and Lucina his wife of the town of Arkwright County of Chautauqua and State of New York of the first part, and Silas Town and Oliver M Town of the Town, County and State aforesaid of the second part, Witnesseth, That the said party of the first part, in consideration of the sum of Five hundred Dollars to them duly paid, hath sold, and by these Presents do grant and convey to the said party of the second part, their heirs and assigns, All that Tract or Parcel of Land, situate in the Town of Arkwright in the County of Chautauqua and State of New York Known by being the West part of Lot number thirteen Beginning at a stake in the West line of Lot number thirteen, thence East on the South line of Solomon Snows land, five chains thence South parallel to the West bounds of said Lot number thirteen, twenty six chains eighteen links, thence West five chains to the West line of said Lot, thence North on the line of the Lot twenty six chains eighteen links to the place of beginning. Containing thirteen acres be the same more or less. Also all that certain other piece or parcel of Land situated in the Town of Arkwright County of Chautauqua and State of New York. Known and described as the North West part of Lot number thirteen in the fifth Township and Eleventh Range according to the Holland Land Company's Survey, bounded North by Lot number fourteen, fourteen chains sixty two links, East by Land deeded to Bela Kingsley Seventeen chains eight links South by land deeded to Chauncey Abbey fourteen chains sixty eight link, And West by Lot number twenty one Seventeen chains eight links. Containing twenty five acres be the same more or less. Excepting thereout about three and three fourths acres out of the South West corner of the above described premises previously deeded to Clark Thompson. This conveyance is given upon the express condition that the party of the first part being the Father and Mother of the party of the second part, is to have and to hold the above described premises during their natural lifetime. With the Appurtenances, and all the Estate, Title and Interest therein of the said party of the first part. And the said Aaron Town and Lucina his wife do hereby covenant and agree to and with the said party of the second part, their heirs and assigns, that the premises thus conveyed in the quiet and peaceable possession of the said party of the second part, their heirs and assigns, they will forever Warrant and Defend against any person whomsoever lawfully claiming the same or any part thereof. On this twenty fourth day of April in the year one thousand eight hundred and sixty five before me, the subscriber, personally appeared Aaron Town and Lucina Town his wife to me known to be the same persons described in and who executed the within instrument, who severally acknowledged that they executed the same; and the said Lucina Town on a private examination by me, apart from her husband, acknowledged that she executed the same freely, and without any fear or compulsion of her said husband.
